Used 2024 BMW X2 for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2024 BMW X2 cost?

Prices have softened 8.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 75 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 BMW X2 a good car?

The 2024 BMW X2 earns a 7.3/10 expert rating, and it is aimed at you if you want a premium compact crossover with a distinctive shape, standard all-wheel drive, and strong technology and safety equipment.

The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Its biggest strengths are the standard equipment list, the available premium tech, and the fact that it keeps about the same passenger room and cargo space as the X1 despite the coupe-like roofline. The main trade-offs are the polarising design, the cabin’s frustrating ergonomic layout, and limited cargo space.

The 37.3% share of good and great deals suggests there are still worthwhile listings to find if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 BMW X2 reliable?

The 2024 BMW X2 is presented as a well-equipped premium crossover with standard all-wheel drive and a strong safety package, and its powertrain is described as capable of everyday use rather than especially exciting in xDrive28i form.

Its turbocharged 2.0-litre engine and standard xDrive all-wheel drive give you a familiar, mainstream mechanical setup, while the expert assessment also notes that the vehicle is quiet on the highway and easy to manoeuvre in town. The cost-effectiveness commentary also points to BMW’s premium-brand positioning, which helps explain the pricing but can matter when you think about long-term ownership costs.

BMW’s first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the X2’s premium complexity and tightly packaged cabin could make ownership less forgiving if you value simplicity and low running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X2?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The xDrive28i and M35i are the key versions to compare. The xDrive28i is the more affordable choice, but the expert assessment says it lacks the dynamism you might expect from a BMW, while the M35i is the better fit if you want the most engaging driving experience.
• Powertrain: Both versions use a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and standard xDrive all-wheel drive. The xDrive28i makes 241 horsepower, while the M35i is tuned for 312 hp.
• Safety package: BMW includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, semi-autonomous parking assist, and a semi-autonomous backup assist system. The optional Advanced Driving Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep and lane-centring assist, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, emergency stop assist, and Traffic Jam Assistant.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.7-inch touchscreen running BMW Operating System 9. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with cloud-based navigation and connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The xDrive28i is rated at 8.5 L/100 km in combined driving, and the M35i is estimated at 8.9 L/100 km in combined driving.

Which 2024 BMW X2 trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW X2 is offered in 2 trim levels: xDrive28i and M35i.

Here's the short version:

• xDrive28i: This is the value-oriented choice if you want the X2’s standard all-wheel drive, strong tech, and safety equipment at the lower entry price. It suits you best if style and features matter more than outright driving excitement.
• M35i: This is the better pick if you want the most engaging X2. The expert assessment says the xDrive28i lacks the dynamism expected of a BMW, so the M35i is the trim to choose if you care most about performance.

The optional Advanced Driving Assistance Package adds the most complete driver-assistance setup.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 75 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.26% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $46,345 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X2's resale value?

The current average of $47,465 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,739 CAD.

That decline suggests the X2 has become a little more buyer-friendly in the used market, which can help you if you are shopping now. The current pricing also shows that well-kept examples still hold a premium position relative to many mainstream compact crossovers.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X2 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.26% compared with last year.
• The redesigned X2 gives you about the same passenger room and cargo space as the X1, plus strong technology and safety.

The bottom line: If you want the newest X2 with the strongest mix of safety, technology, and market softness, the 2024 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-priced listing rather than paying extra for the newest redesign.
