Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 BMW 2 Series stands out as a compact BMW that still leans hard into driver involvement, with a rear-wheel-drive layout and a sportier character than many small luxury cars. It also offers a quality interior and a broad available feature list, while its coupe body style helps it feel more performance-focused than a conventional premium commuter. 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW 2 Series reliable?

The 2024 BMW 2 Series is presented as a carryover model with established equipment and powertrain choices, which can be reassuring if you want a known quantity. Its strengths are rooted in its performance focus, quality interior, and rear-drive driving feel, while the trade-offs are more about packaging and body-style limitations than obvious complexity. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best managed by checking maintenance history carefully and making sure the car has been looked after consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 2 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 57 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,422 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 2 Series's resale value?

The current average of $44,332 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,821 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively. Because the model still has a strong enthusiast appeal and a clear performance identity, well-kept examples should continue to attract interest. If you maintain the car properly and keep mileage reasonable, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 2 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $42,874 CAD, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $44,332 CAD average.
• The redesigned Gran Coupe adds more power and technology.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2024 if you want the two-door coupe’s rear-drive feel and sportier personality. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it costs less on average and adds more technology, though it shifts you toward a different body style and use case.
