Is the 2024 BMW 2 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2024 BMW 2 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal is strongest if you want a compact luxury car that feels more like a performance machine than a conventional commuter. The rear-wheel-drive layout, sportier character, and strong performance focus help it stand apart, while the quality interior and available features broaden its appeal for everyday use. For shoppers who value driver involvement in a small luxury package, that combination is a clear fit. There are 27.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW 2 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 BMW 2 Series is presented as a carryover model with an established powertrain range and equipment set, which can be reassuring if you want a known quantity. Its strengths are rooted in strong performance, a quality interior, and the rear-drive driving feel that defines the model. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its sporty packaging leaves less cabin space than you might expect, so it is best if you can live with the tighter layout.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 2 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 55 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,406 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 2 Series's resale value?

The current average of $43,153 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,145 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If prices stay near the current range, future sellers may need to lean on condition, mileage, and equipment to stand out. The model’s performance-focused appeal should still help it attract interest from shoppers who want a small luxury coupe with a rear-drive feel.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 2 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $43,885 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $43,153 CAD average.
• The redesigned Gran Coupe adds more power and technology.

The bottom line: If you want the more engaging two-door experience and a softer used-market price, the 2024 is the better starting point. If you are price-sensitive and want a newer redesign with added tech, the 2025 is worth a look, but it asks for more money.
