Why it stands out
The 2024 Acura RDX stands out because it blends the sporty character of Acura’s earlier RDX with the practicality and usefulness of the second-generation model. It uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that makes 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s torque-vectoring SH-AWD system. That combination gives it a more performance-focused feel than many small luxury SUVs, while the SH-AWD system can send as much as 70% of engine output to the rear wheels and even divert all of that share to either rear wheel for improved handling.
It is also well equipped. The AcuraWatch safety package is standard and includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the infotainment system uses a 10.2-inch display. Buyers also get useful cargo space, with up to 2,260 litres available with the rear seats folded, though that figure requires moving the front seats all the way forward; with the front seats in a normal position, the more realistic figure is 1,668 litres, and there are 835 litres with the rear seats up.
The 2024 Acura RDX is appealing because it offers a strong mix of handling, comfort, and everyday usability. Its main drawback is that the touchpad-based infotainment system is not particularly intuitive, so the cabin technology can take some getting used to. Even so, for shoppers who want a compact luxury SUV that feels more engaging than most, the RDX remains a distinctive choice.

Great value for excellent car. We are Honda lovers as we have owned 4 over the last 15 years and 1 jeep. Hondas have never broken down or needed repairs other than brakes. The Rubicon top of the line was a constant money drain for service

How much does the 2024 Acura RDX cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $46,038 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $46,038 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $51,583 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $50,890 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −9.53% |
Prices have softened 9.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 193 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2024 Acura RDX a good car?
Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2024 Acura RDX backs that up with a sporty, practical, and well-equipped package. It blends a turbocharged engine, SH-AWD, and a 10-speed automatic with everyday usefulness, while the standard safety and connectivity features make it easy to live with. If you want a compact luxury SUV that feels more engaging than most, this model year fits that brief well. 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2024 Acura RDX reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2024 Acura RDX is presented as a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong performance, comfort, and useful standard equipment. Its standard safety package and everyday practicality add confidence for used buyers. For long-term ownership, the main risk is more about living with the infotainment interface than expecting major surprises.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Acura RDX?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 193 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.53% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $46,038 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Acura RDX's resale value?
The current average of $46,038 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,890 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you purchase at a strong price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The RDX’s mix of practicality and performance should still help it stay relevant with shoppers who want a compact luxury SUV.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Acura RDX or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.53% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $42,018 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $46,038 CAD average.
- It offers strong performance, comfort, and a comparatively accessible price.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $52,985 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $46,038 CAD average.
- It adds subtle styling updates and a better-presented infotainment experience.
