How much does the 2025 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 11.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 172 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX a good car?

The 2025 Acura RDX earns an expert rating of 6.8/10.

The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

It remains appealing if you want a compact luxury crossover that feels current without abandoning its established formula. The overview points to subtle styling updates, a refreshed cabin presentation, and practical touches like the new wireless charging pad and revised cupholders, while the expert evaluation also highlights that it is enjoyable to drive and offers excellent value for money.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and frustrating infotainment controls are the biggest drawbacks, and the back seat is also described as uncomfortable.

With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX reliable?

The 2025 Acura RDX is presented as a familiar, long-running design that continues to deliver a solid mix of quality, interior space, practicality, and thoughtful details.

Its powertrain is described as robust, and the expert evaluation suggests the driving experience remains favourable over time, even if the model’s basic architecture is now several years old. The overview also frames it as a vehicle that keeps its appeal through continuity rather than novelty, which can be reassuring if you prefer a proven formula.

The cost-effectiveness commentary adds that the RDX can be pleasing to live with over time if you can accept the infotainment system’s limitations.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the ageing interface and thirsty engine may become more annoying the longer you live with the vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura RDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model gives you the core RDX formula, while A-Spec and Platinum Elite A-Spec trims add more visual flair and equipment. The Platinum Elite A-Spec stands out for its full leather upholstery, and the base trim misses some higher-end convenience and safety features.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and SH-AWD. The expert evaluation notes lively performance, but also that fuel use rises quickly when you lean on the turbocharged torque.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Low-speed front and rear braking and a surround-view camera system are reserved for higher trims, and the base RDX lacks low-speed front and rear braking.
• Infotainment: The dashboard display is 10.2 inches, and it is not a touchscreen. You use the True Touchpad Interface instead. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Alexa Built-in are included, and all versions except the base model have navigation and an Acura/ELS Studio premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy rating is 9.9 litres per 100 kilometres combined for the base trim and 10.3 L/100 km combined for the A-Spec trims.

Which 2025 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura RDX is offered in 3 trim levels: base, A-Spec, and Platinum Elite A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the value-focused choice if you want the core RDX experience with standard SH-AWD, the turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, and the full AcuraWatch safety package. It makes the most sense if you care more about the underlying vehicle than extra luxury touches.
• A-Spec: This trim adds a sportier appearance and brings navigation plus the Acura/ELS Studio premium sound system. It is the better pick if you want a more upscale feel without stepping all the way to the top trim.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the most luxurious version, and it is the one to choose if you want the fullest equipment list, including full leather upholstery and the surround-view camera system. It is the best fit if you want the most premium RDX experience.

The safety package is standard across the range, but the surround-view camera system is reserved for the Platinum Elite A-Spec, and the base trim misses low-speed front and rear braking.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 172 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.24% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $52,366 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $52,371 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,004 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RDX has softened enough to improve your buying position today. If you sell later, you may face a more competitive resale environment unless market conditions strengthen.

For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect buyers to be price-sensitive. A well-kept example with desirable equipment and strong condition should still stand out, but the broader market is clearly leaning in the buyer’s favour right now.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX safe?

The 2025 RDX earned a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it also gets a five-star overall crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is the standard safety package, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

There are a couple of caveats to keep in mind. The lane-assist systems are described as irritating in everyday driving, and the adaptive cruise control can struggle to maintain a smooth following distance. Low-speed front and rear braking and the surround-view camera system are also not standard on every trim, with the surround-view camera reserved for the Platinum Elite A-Spec and the base trim missing low-speed front and rear braking.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.24% compared with last year.
• This year adds subtle styling updates, a new wireless charging pad, revised cupholders, and an improved presentation of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this long-running RDX formula and you value the updated cabin touches, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may deliver much of the same core experience for less money, especially if you can live without the latest cosmetic and convenience updates.
