Used 2023 Toyota Venza for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2023 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have softened 5.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 78 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Toyota Venza earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

It stands out as a stylish, fuel-efficient midsize SUV alternative, with a sharp exterior design and a luxury-leaning interior that give it a more upscale feel than many rivals. It is also comfortable, which makes it a good fit if you want a relaxed daily driver with a polished feel rather than a utility-first family SUV.

The trade-offs are a small cargo area and middling performance, so it suits you best if style, comfort, and efficiency matter more than maximum practicality or strong acceleration. 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Venza’s hybrid setup is described as seamless in operation, with electric motors providing immediate initial response and the gasoline engine blending in smoothly. Its braking is also described as seamless, with regenerative braking handling the initial slowdown before the physical brakes take over. That kind of refinement points to an easy ownership experience rather than a fussy one.

It also has a strong efficiency focus, and the cost-effectiveness notes suggest the model is built around low running costs rather than complexity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its limited cargo space and modest performance may feel more restrictive over time than they do on a test drive.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Venza?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LE gives you the Venza’s upscale styling and standard safety suite, but the XLE adds a larger touchscreen and more comfort-oriented equipment, while the Limited brings the most premium features.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid system with 219 horsepower, a CVT, and standard all-wheel drive. It is tuned for smooth, efficient driving rather than quick acceleration.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard, with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure assist, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a traffic sign reader. The XLE adds front and rear parking proximity sensors and reverse automatic emergency braking, while the Limited adds a surround-view camera, head-up display, and digital rearview mirror.
• Infotainment: The LE uses an 8-inch touchscreen, while the XLE and above get a 12.3-inch display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a wireless charging pad, and the system supports over-the-air-style connected services through Drive Connect on XLE and Limited trims.
• Fuel efficiency: It is estimated at 5.9 L/100 km in the city, 6.4 L/100 km on the highway, and 6.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Venza’s core appeal: standard hybrid efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, and the full Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and do not need the larger screen or extra convenience features.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim. It adds the 12.3-inch multimedia display, roof rails, simulated leather upholstery, front and rear parking proximity sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking. If you want the strongest balance of features and price, this is the one to target.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich version, adding a surround-view camera system, head-up display, and digital rearview mirror. Choose it if you want the most premium Venza experience and are willing to pay for it.

All 2023 Toyota Venzas come with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ as standard, while the XLE and Limited add extra safety and convenience features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Venza?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 78 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,907 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $40,304 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,834 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean. On the other hand, the Venza’s fuel efficiency and upscale positioning help keep it appealing to shoppers who want a comfortable hybrid SUV.

If prices continue to stabilise near the current range, resale should remain reasonably supported by the model’s efficiency and broad appeal. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza safe?

The 2023 Toyota Venza earns five-star ratings in overall and side crash protection, and four-star ratings in frontal and rollover protection from NHTSA. The IIHS awarded it a Top Safety Pick, with Good ratings across the board except for an Acceptable result in the new side impact test.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard on every Venza, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure assist, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a traffic sign reader. The XLE adds front and rear parking proximity sensors plus reverse automatic emergency braking, while the Limited adds a surround-view camera, head-up display, and digital rearview mirror.

The main caveat is the IIHS side-impact result, which is not as strong as the rest of the Venza’s safety performance. Even so, the standard driver-assistance suite is broad and well rounded.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines sharp styling, a luxury-leaning interior, and class-leading fuel efficiency.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $34,491 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $40,304 CAD average.
• It blends wagon-like proportions with standard hybrid efficiency and standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger overall market position, updated appeal, and the same core efficiency-focused character. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you are comfortable giving up some of the newer-year pricing context.
