Used 2023 Toyota Tundra for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2023 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 9.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 351 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2023 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Toyota Tundra earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the powerful engine, comfortable interior, smooth ride, stylish appearance, and fuel efficiency. For you, that points to a truck that feels modern, comfortable, and easy to live with.

The main trade-offs are its potentially polarising design and the fact that not all safety features are standard. That matters most if you want a truck that blends broad appeal with a more complete standard equipment list.

For buyers who want a full-size pickup that feels current rather than dated, the Tundra’s redesign and technology make it especially compelling. With 35.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also decent market support for shoppers who are ready to act.

Is the 2023 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the Tundra as powerful, comfortable, smooth-riding, and fuel-efficient, while also pointing to a reputation for durability and value. That combination suggests you’re looking at a truck that many buyers expect to count on over time.

The expert notes also emphasise a stout engine and a reliable platform, which reinforces the impression of solid day-to-day dependability. Toyota’s three-year/60,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty add some ownership reassurance.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core truck and more about whether the specific example has been maintained well and kept free of unresolved issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Tundra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims use an 8-inch touchscreen, while Limited and above get a massive 14-inch touchscreen. If you want the most upscale feel, higher trims also bring more comfort and equipment, but the base trims are the ones most likely to feel light on features.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 with 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, plus an available hybrid version with 437 hp and 583 lb-ft. The 10-speed automatic helps the truck deliver smooth, consistent performance.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard, with automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and lane departure warning, lane-tracing assist, and sway warning. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available, but not standard across the lineup.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while Limited and higher trims get a 14-inch multimedia screen with brand-new software, crisp graphics, and fast response times. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all Tundras.
• Fuel efficiency: The previous-generation V8 was rated at 17.7 L/100 km city, 13.6 highway, and 15.9 combined in rear-wheel-drive form, or 18.0 city, 14.2 highway, and 16.3 combined with four-wheel drive.

Which 2023 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Tundra is offered in 10 trim levels: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-road, Limited, Limited TRD Off-road, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and the core Tundra experience. It makes sense if you care more about capability than luxury, but it’s the trim most likely to feel basic compared with the rest of the lineup.
• SR5: This is the sensible step up if you want a better balance of equipment and value. It should suit you if you want a work-ready truck without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• TRD Sport: Choose this if you want a sportier look and feel without going all the way to the off-road-focused trims. It’s a good fit if appearance matters and you still want a mainstream daily driver.
• TRD Off-road: This is the better pick if you want more trail capability than the standard trims. It suits you if you expect to leave pavement more often and want the added hardware to match.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it unlocks the 14-inch touchscreen and a more upscale cabin. If you want the strongest mix of comfort, tech, and price, this is the one to focus on.
• Limited TRD Off-road: Pick this if you want the Limited’s upgraded cabin with extra off-road capability. It’s the right middle ground if you want both comfort and adventure-ready hardware.
• Platinum: This trim leans into luxury and adds more premium equipment. It suits you if you want a more polished truck for commuting and family use.
• 1794 Edition: This is another upscale choice with a more distinctive premium character. It’s a good fit if you want a truck that feels special without going to the top of the range.
• TRD Pro: This is the one to buy if you want the most serious off-road hardware. Its lift, Fox shocks, 33-inch tires, locking rear differential, crawl control, and downhill assist control make it the standout choice for trail use.
• Capstone: This is the luxury flagship, with the hybrid powertrain standard. Choose it if you want the most fully equipped Tundra and are comfortable paying for it.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available, but they’re not standard across the trim lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Tundra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 351 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $50,630 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $50,630 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,755 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average.

The Tundra’s strong owner satisfaction and reputation for value should help support demand over time. Even so, resale will still depend on trim, condition, mileage, and whether the truck has the equipment shoppers want most.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2023 Toyota Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS for CrewMax models.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 comes standard, with automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and lane departure warning, lane-tracing assist, and sway warning. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available, but they are not standard across the lineup.

The main caveat is that not all safety features are standard, so you’ll want to check the exact trim and equipment list before you buy.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 keeps the redesigned Tundra’s modern powertrain and technology largely unchanged.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $47,464 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $50,630 CAD average.
• It introduced the all-new redesign and broad update.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $54,704 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $50,630 CAD average.
• It adds a more distinctive open-air driving experience.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, modern tech, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the sweet spot. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 can save you money while still giving you the redesigned Tundra formula.
