Used 2023 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearNorth Vancouver, BC

How much does the 2023 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 9.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 139 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.11/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for family shoppers. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its fuel efficiency, spaciousness, and comfort, and they also value the hybrid setup for its strong mileage. In practical terms, that makes it a smart fit if you want a family vehicle that prioritises efficiency and everyday usability.

The trade-offs are worth weighing, though: the transmission can feel irritating, acceleration is sluggish, and some owners mention engine noise under hard acceleration. It suits you best if you want a minivan that leans into practicality rather than performance.

With 21.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.11/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centred on fuel efficiency, spaciousness, and comfort. That kind of repeat praise matters if you want a used family vehicle you can count on over time.

The expert drive notes also support that impression by describing the technology as reliable, even if the interface itself feels dated. Toyota’s hybrid setup should appeal if you want a used minivan with a reputation for steady everyday use.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright reliability and more about living with the Sienna’s weaker acceleration and some tech frustrations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and 25th Anniversary Special Edition are the main trims to compare. The base LE is the entry point, while the XLE adds standard power-sliding doors and a power liftgate with kick sensors, which can be especially useful for family duty. The XSE brings a sportier look, and the Limited sits near the top of the range. The 25th Anniversary Special Edition is positioned just below the Limited. If you want the most family-friendly convenience for the money, the XLE stands out.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid system with two front-mounted electric motors, plus a third rear-mounted electric motor on AWD trims. Output is 245 net system horsepower, and the powertrain is efficient but not especially quick.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is part of the standard safety setup, and the Sienna includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. These features are standard, which is a major plus if you want a family hauler with strong built-in protection.
• Infotainment: The Sienna uses a 9-inch touchscreen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, seven USB ports, and an optional navigation system. CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection, and the interface can feel dated.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the AWD model at 6.8 L/100 km city, 6.6 highway, and 6.7 combined. The FWD model is rated at 6.6 L/100 km city, 6.5 highway, and 6.6 combined.

Which 2023 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Sienna is offered in 5 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and 25th Anniversary Special Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point if you want the Sienna’s hybrid efficiency and standard safety features at the lowest trim level. It makes sense if you care most about value and can live without the extra convenience equipment found higher up.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds standard power-sliding doors and a power liftgate with kick sensors. If you want a family-friendly setup without stretching to the upper trims, this is the one to focus on.
• XSE: Choose this if you want a sportier appearance and, on FWD models, 20-inch wheels. It is the trim for shoppers who want the Sienna to look a little less like a traditional minivan.
• Limited: This is the upscale choice, with the premium equipment expected at the top of the range. It also gets the standard JBL premium audio system in Canada.
• 25th Anniversary Special Edition: This trim sits just below the Limited and is worth considering if you want a special-edition version with a more exclusive positioning in the lineup.

Toyota’s standard safety package is a major selling point across the range, so you do not need to move to a higher trim just to get strong driver assistance coverage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market if you are willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 21.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 139 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,730 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $50,358 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,917 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice.

The Sienna’s strong efficiency and family-friendly reputation should help it stay appealing to used shoppers. That said, a lower current average price can also cap upside if you are hoping for a quick appreciation story.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.11/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2023 Toyota Sienna earns a Top Safety Pick+ designation from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is part of the standard safety package, and the Sienna includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. That standard equipment is a major advantage if you want a family vehicle with strong built-in protection.

The main safety takeaway is straightforward: you get a very strong safety package without needing to climb the trim ladder. That makes the Sienna especially appealing if safety is one of your top priorities.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 21.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.11/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines a standard hybrid powertrain with strong family-focused safety and efficiency.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $47,378 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $50,358 CAD average.
• It carries over the same hybrid formula from the redesign.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,047 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $50,358 CAD average.
• It adds three rows, power sliding doors, and a comfy, efficiency-focused setup.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, efficiency, and safety, the 2023 is the sensible default. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is the cheaper path to the same basic hybrid minivan formula.
