Is the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its safety features, reliability, and overall value, and many appreciate that it delivers the essentials without feeling overly complicated. That fits especially well if you want a practical small SUV with more passenger and cargo room than a sedan, plus a familiar, easy-to-live-with layout. This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 182 listings available.

The current average of $29,334 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,804 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition, the Corolla Cross’s practical appeal should help it remain attractive to used shoppers. Its broad usefulness and straightforward ownership experience are the kinds of traits that usually support steady demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,041 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,334 CAD average.
• It offers a straightforward Corolla-based small SUV package with available all-wheel drive.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger overall value proposition, newer-market pricing momentum, and the reassurance of very high owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in good condition at a meaningfully lower price.
