Used 2023 Subaru WRX for Sale nearNorth Vancouver, BC

How much does the 2023 Subaru WRX cost?

Prices have softened 2.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 233 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Subaru WRX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Subaru WRX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out as a rally-inspired compact performance sedan with a manual transmission available, sharp handling, and a distinctive design. At the same time, the technology can be unintuitive, it is seen as poor value for money, and it offers less cargo space than rivals.

The model’s 30.9% good or great deal share suggests there are still some attractive listings in the market.

Is the 2023 Subaru WRX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The WRX’s appeal is rooted in an established formula rather than a fresh redesign, and the expert review describes it as a car that can serve as both a practical daily driver and a performance car. Its well-mannered character and standard all-wheel drive support confidence in everyday use, while the available manual transmission gives you a more involved driving experience.

Subaru’s warranty coverage is fairly standard, and the model’s performance hardware is straightforward rather than overly complex. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that enthusiast use can make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru WRX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base models get 17-inch alloy wheels, while other WRX trims get 18-inch wheels and standard summer tires. The top Sport-Tech trim adds Ultrasuede upholstery, red stitching, a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat, and a 4-way manual front passenger seat.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine with 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, standard all-wheel drive, and either a 6-speed manual or an optional CVT branded as Subaru Performance Transmission.
• Safety package: Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology is available only with the CVT and adds adaptive cruise control, automated lane-centring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change assist are available on Sport and Sport-Tech trims, and reverse automatic braking comes with the CVT on those trims.
• Infotainment: Base models use a pair of 7-inch touchscreens, while Sport and Sport-Tech trims get an 11.6-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 10.8 L/100 km combined with the manual transmission and 11.2 L/100 km combined with the CVT.

Which 2023 Subaru WRX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Subaru WRX is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Sport, and Sport-Tech.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the value play if you want the WRX’s core appeal without stretching the budget. You still get the manual transmission, all-wheel drive, and the model’s distinctive styling, plus the simpler 7-inch dual-screen infotainment setup.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want the bigger 11.6-inch touchscreen and the option of the CVT with EyeSight. It also opens the door to more available safety equipment and keeps the WRX’s performance character intact.
• Sport-Tech: This is the trim to choose if you want the most complete WRX experience, with Ultrasuede upholstery, the upgraded driver’s seat, steering-responsive headlights, and the Harman Kardon audio system.

The safety package is only available with the CVT, and some driver-assistance features are limited to Sport and Sport-Tech trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru WRX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 233 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,158 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $31,359 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,299 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you if you buy now, but it also means future sellers may face a market that is still adjusting downward. If demand stays steady, the WRX’s enthusiast appeal and distinctive character should help support values better than a more ordinary compact sedan. Condition, mileage, and transmission choice will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Subaru WRX safe?

The 2023 WRX earns top "Good" scores in all crash tests completed so far from IIHS, and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, including five stars in frontal, side, and rollover crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology is available only with the CVT and includes adaptive cruise control, automated lane-centring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change assist are available on Sport and Sport-Tech trims, while reverse automatic braking is also tied to the CVT on those trims.

One caveat is that the standard headlights were rated "Acceptable" by IIHS, while the headlights available on Sport-Tech got a "Good" rating.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert highlight: it keeps the WRX’s rally-bred character, manual-transmission availability, and sharp handling without changes for the year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,457 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,359 CAD average.
• It blends performance with all-weather practicality and strong handling.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year WRX with a softer price trend and strong market availability, the 2023 is the cleaner choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the better value path and still delivers the core WRX formula.
