Is the 2023 Subaru BRZ a good car?

The 2023 Subaru BRZ stands out as a focused two-door sports coupe with rear-wheel drive and a naturally aspirated engine, which makes it a distinctive choice if you want a more engaging driving experience than Subaru’s usual practical, all-wheel-drive lineup. Its simple formula and enthusiast-oriented character make it appealing if you value driving feel over everyday utility.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru BRZ?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a dramatic shift.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 64 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.24% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,297 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru BRZ's resale value?

The current average of $28,297 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,549 CAD.

That suggests the BRZ has softened a bit in the near term, which can help you buy with less pressure today. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend points to a market that is still active but not especially strong for rapid appreciation. For a future seller, condition, mileage, and timing will matter more than expecting a quick price lift.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.24% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,494 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $28,297 CAD average.
• The 2022 adds a redesigned BRZ with more power and more tech.

The 2023 is the better pick if you want the current-year market with a decent share of deal-priced listings. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look because it undercuts the 2023 average while still delivering the redesigned BRZ formula.
