How much does the 2023 RAM 3500 cost?

Is the 2023 RAM 3500 a good car?

Generally — the 2023 RAM 3500 earns 4/5 from users, and its overview points to a heavy-duty truck that combines serious capability with the kind of comfort and technology you usually expect from a daily driver. It is aimed at you if you want a truck that can work hard while still feeling modern and well equipped, with a spacious cabin, strong towing and payload capability, and available convenience features that support everyday use.

Its appeal is strongest if you value maximum utility without giving up refinement entirely, though its large size can be difficult to manage in towns and cities. With 32.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive listing.

Is the 2023 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a truck built around serious capability, a strong frame, and a heavy-duty focus, which supports confidence if you need a vehicle for demanding work. At the same time, its size and diesel noise are part of the ownership trade-offs you should expect when shopping used.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is whether the truck’s hard-working nature has translated into heavy wear, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 459 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.22% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $68,227 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $68,227 CAD sits slightly below last year's $75,992 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what a future seller can ask in the near term. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it is time to resell. Demand should remain supported by the model’s capability-focused reputation and broad appeal to heavy-duty truck shoppers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better fit if you want the refreshed heavy-duty formula with strong capability, a more upscale cabin, and a market that has already moved lower on price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2023 is the one to focus on when you want the balance of capability, comfort, and current market value.
