Used 2023 RAM 1500 for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2023 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 11.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,313 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 RAM 1500 earns a 4.65/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its upscale interior, comfortable ride, and solid performance, and many also like its stylish design and good fuel economy for its size. It suits you well if you want a full-size truck that feels more refined than a basic work truck while still handling daily driving and heavier-duty use. The main trade-offs are that it is not the most technology-rich choice in the segment and advanced safety features are not standard.

With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value in the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.65/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable, comfortable, and easy to live with over time. The expert review also highlights a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic and a well-sorted ride, both of which support confidence in day-to-day use. If you want a used full-size truck you can count on for regular commuting and work duties, this one has the right reputation.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that some desirable features are not standard, so you should verify equipment carefully before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Limited trim brings a more upscale cabin with leather, open-pore wood, metallic trim, and a 12-inch portrait-oriented screen, while lower trims are less lavish and use more chrome-heavy styling.
• Powertrain: You can find rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, a standard 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque on lower trims, an optional 5.7-litre Hemi V8 on lower trims and standard on upper trims, and an available 3.0-litre EcoDiesel on most trims.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is not standard, and blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning are optional or bundled in packages. Blind-spot monitoring can also cover the length of a trailer.
• Infotainment: Lower trims use a 5-inch screen, mid trims typically get an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and upper trims can have a portrait-oriented 12-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and some trucks can be equipped with a head-up display, digital rearview mirror, and surround-view camera system.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.0-litre turbo diesel returns 11.1 L/100 km city, 8.0 highway, and 9.7 combined. A V8 4WD eTorque model is rated at 13.5 L/100 km city, 10.5 highway, and 12.1 combined.

Which 2023 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2023 RAM 1500 is offered in 8 trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Sport, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, Limited, and TRX.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the least expensive path into the lineup, especially with RWD, the long bed, and quad cab. It makes sense if you want the truck basics and plan to add equipment selectively, but it is the least lavish choice.
• Big Horn: This is a sensible step up if you want more everyday appeal without chasing luxury pricing. It should suit you if you want a more balanced used-buying target than the entry trim.
• Sport: Choose this if you want a more distinctive appearance and a stronger visual presence without jumping all the way to the premium trims.
• Rebel: This is the trim to consider if you want the off-road-oriented setup mentioned in the review, including a 2.5-centimetre lift, skid plates, and hill-descent control.
• Laramie: This is a strong middle-ground choice if you want more comfort and equipment without going to the top of the range.
• Limited Longhorn: This is for you if you want a more upscale, premium-feeling cabin and a richer feature set.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim if you want the most polished cabin experience, the 12-inch portrait screen, and the upscale materials highlighted in the review.
• TRX: This is the performance-focused halo model with the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 and the most extreme off-road character in the lineup.

Safety equipment is not standard across the range, so check carefully for the driver-assistance features you want on any trim you consider.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop around without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,313 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,359 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $41,479 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,712 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more truck for the money today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices keep easing. If you buy at the right number and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it is time to sell. The broad appeal of this model should still help support demand, especially among shoppers who value comfort and refinement in a pickup.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.65/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2023 RAM 1500 earns Good marks across the board from IIHS except for Marginal grades for seat belt reminders and LATCH ease of use, and it earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The Ram 1500 falters a bit on standard advanced driver-assist systems. Nothing is standard across the board, not even forward collision warning. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning are all optional or part of a package. If you add blind-spot monitoring, it can cover the length of a trailer, which is especially useful when towing.

The main caveat is that safety equipment varies by trim, so you should not assume a used truck has the driver aids you want.

Should I buy a 2023 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.65/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the refined ride, upscale cabin feel, and strong powertrain that define this generation.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $40,294 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $41,479 CAD average.
• It blends comfort, utility, technology, and driving character in a way that is easy to appreciate.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market value story and a truck that still feels refined and capable, the 2023 is the better target. If your priority is saving a bit more up front, the 2022 is the sensible alternative, especially if you find one with the equipment you want.
