How much does the 2023 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices have softened 4.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The 911 stands out as a sports car that blends driving enjoyment, everyday comfort, and premium interior materials, so it suits you if you want something special without giving up too much usability. The trade-offs are familiar: cargo space is limited, advanced safety features are not standard, and it is poor value for the money.

27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 911’s long-running formula is built around incremental evolution, which supports a sense of consistency from one model year to the next. Its broad appeal also comes from being comfortable enough for everyday use while still feeling like a serious performance car.

The performance focus means you should expect a used example to have been driven enthusiastically, so condition and maintenance history matter more than with a typical commuter car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Porsche 911?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Carrera T adds a manual transmission, lighter components, and a more engaging setup, while the GT3 RS and Dakar push the car toward track-focused or rally-inspired character. The base Carrera is the least expensive entry point, but it does not bring the extra performance hardware of the more specialised trims.
• Powertrain: The lineup centres on a rear-wheel-drive-based 379-hp flat-six, with AWD on Carrera 4 models and more power as you move up the range. The Carrera T keeps the same engine but adds weight-saving changes and a seven-speed manual.
• Safety package: Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. A surround-view camera system and lane change assist with blind-spot monitoring are available with the optional Premium package, and other notable features include night vision and an integrated dashcam.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.9-inch touchscreen, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless CarPlay, and USB-connected Android Auto. The interface can be distracting to use because the screen sits low on the dash and the on-screen buttons are small.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-consumption figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2023 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Porsche 911 is offered in 12 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera T, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, Sport Classic, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, Dakar, and Carrera 4 GTS.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core 911 experience with the standard 379-hp rear-wheel-drive setup. It makes sense if you want the iconic shape and driving feel without chasing extra hardware.
• Carrera 4: This is the best-value choice for many buyers because it adds AWD while staying close to the mainstream 911 formula. It is the trim to target if you want broad capability and strong everyday usability.
• Carrera T: This is the enthusiast pick if you want the least expensive manual 911. The lighter setup, GT Sport steering wheel, and sport exhaust make it the most engaging choice for drivers who value involvement.
• Carrera S: This trim adds more power and many of the Carrera T’s upgrades, so it suits you if you want a stronger performance step without jumping into the more specialised models.
• Carrera GTS: This is the sweet spot if you want a meaningful performance boost and a more serious feel without going all the way to the extreme trims.
• Sport Classic: This is for you if retro style and exclusivity matter as much as speed. Its throwback ducktail spoiler and higher output make it a distinctive collector-style choice.
• Turbo: Choose this if you want huge power and all-around pace, but not necessarily the sharpest track character.
• Turbo S: This is the top-end road-going power choice for buyers who want maximum straight-line performance and premium appeal.
• GT3: This is the right pick if your priority is high-performance driving on racetracks and you can accept a firmer ride.
• GT3 RS: This is the most track-focused choice in the lineup, with even more emphasis on cornering performance and less comfort.
• Dakar: This is the outlier if you want the rally-inspired, lifted off-road character described in the data.
• Carrera 4 GTS: This is the AWD version of the GTS formula, so it suits you if you want stronger performance with added traction.

The safety package is limited on the base Carrera, so if driver-assistance features matter to you, look closely at the optional Premium package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche 911?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 122 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.38% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $234,591 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $263,296 CAD sits slightly below last year's $275,358 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations. The current market suggests the 911 still commands strong interest, yet it is not immune to broader price movement.

Because the model has strong appeal and a premium image, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than many sports cars. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 safe?

The Porsche 911 has not been published by NHTSA or IIHS crash test evaluators.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. A surround-view camera system and lane change assist with blind-spot monitoring are available as part of the optional Premium package, and other notable features include night vision and an integrated dashcam.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup, so you should verify the equipment on any used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds several new variants, including the Carrera T, GT3 RS, Sport Classic, and Dakar.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $237,516 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $263,296 CAD average.
• It blends serious performance with everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the broader 2023 lineup and can take advantage of the softer pricing, this is the better all-around choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 remains a strong alternative with much of the same core appeal.
