How much does the 2023 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices have softened 2.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 115 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare examples.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out as one of the most comprehensively good sports cars on sale, with a broad lineup that ranges from everyday-friendly variants to track-focused and rally-inspired versions. You get a car that is fun to drive, comfortable, and finished with premium interior materials, which makes it easy to see why it remains so desirable.

The trade-offs are clear, though: not much cargo space and advanced safety features that are not standard. The 911 also asks a lot of you financially, so it suits you best if you want a premium sports car that can cover very different personalities without losing its core identity.

Only 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 911’s long-running evolution and premium build quality support its reputation for durability and everyday usability. It is also described as comfortable and easy to live with for a sports car, which matters when you plan to keep one for the long haul.

Its performance focus means some ownership costs can still be substantial, so a well-maintained example is the safest path for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Porsche 911?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from approachable performance to extreme track focus, and the base car is more restrained on equipment than higher trims. If you want the most usable balance, the Carrera 4 is the strongest value pick, while the Carrera T adds a manual gearbox and lighter, more engaging hardware.
• Powertrain: The 379-hp rear-wheel-drive Carrera is the starting point, while Carrera 4 models add AWD. Higher trims climb through 443 hp, 473 hp, 543 hp, 572 hp, 640 hp, 502 hp, and 518 hp depending on the variant, with the GT3 and GT3 RS tuned for racetrack use.
• Safety package: Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. A surround-view camera and lane change assist with blind-spot monitoring are available in the optional Premium package, while night vision and an integrated dashcam are also mentioned.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.9-inch touchscreen, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless CarPlay, and USB-connected Android Auto. The native interface can be distracting to use, and the base audio system is modest.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-consumption figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2023 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Porsche 911 is offered in 12 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera T, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, Sport Classic, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, Dakar, and Carrera 4 GTS.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the entry point, but it already delivers strong performance and the core 911 experience. It makes sense if you want the iconic shape and driving feel without chasing extra hardware.
• Carrera 4: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it adds AWD and is specifically called out as the one Canadians will be more than pleased with. It gives you broad capability without pushing into the more expensive, more specialised variants.
• Carrera T: Choose this if you want the most engaging manual-transmission 911 at the lowest price. The lighter setup, reduced sound insulation, and performance extras make it the enthusiast’s pick.
• Carrera S: This trim adds more power and many of the Carrera T’s upgrades, so it suits you if you want a stronger all-rounder without jumping to the more extreme models.
• Carrera GTS: This is the step-up choice if you want a sharper, more powerful 911 with a stronger performance focus while staying below the track-special territory.
• Sport Classic: Pick this if you want the retro styling and higher-output character, especially if the nostalgic design appeal matters as much as the numbers.
• Turbo: This is for straight-line power and high-end performance, but the data suggests it is less compelling if you care most about extracting value on public roads.
• Turbo S: Choose this only if you want the top-tier turbocharged output and are comfortable paying for it.
• GT3: This is the track-focused choice for shoppers who prioritise performance above comfort.
• GT3 RS: This is the most extreme track-oriented option in the lineup, with the biggest sacrifices to ride comfort.
• Dakar: This is the outlier if you want the lifted, off-road-inspired character and all-terrain hardware.
• Carrera 4 GTS: This is the AWD version of the GTS formula, so it suits you if you want stronger performance with added traction.

The safety package note is simple: advanced driver-assistance features are not standard across the lineup, and the Premium package is where you add more of them.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche 911?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you should shop carefully and be ready to move when the right car appears.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 115 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $234,968 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $262,689 CAD sits slightly below last year's $270,061 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more selectively today, but it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward from a year ago. If you plan to resell later, the 911’s desirability and broad appeal should help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with the right specification.

Because the model remains highly desirable and spans everything from usable road cars to special-performance variants, the strongest examples should continue to attract attention. A lower entry price today can also make future depreciation easier to absorb if you buy carefully.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 safe?

The 2023 Porsche 911 does not have published crash test evaluations from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. A surround-view camera system and lane change assist system, which adds blind-spot monitoring, are available as part of the optional Premium package. Other notable features include night vision and an integrated dashcam.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you may need to step up to a better-equipped trim or package if those systems matter to you.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds several new variants, including the Carrera T, GT3 RS, Sport Classic, and Dakar.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $238,754 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $262,689 CAD average.
• It blends approachable performance with everyday drivability.

The bottom line: If you want the broadest and freshest 911 lineup, the 2023 is the better target. If your priority is saving money and you still want the 911’s core mix of performance and usability, the 2022 is the smarter value play.
