Used 2023 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearThunder Bay, ON

How much does the 2023 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 14.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,677 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.31/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, safety features, fuel economy, comfortable ride, and modern technology. That lines up well with the Rogue’s role as a compact SUV for you if you want comfort, efficiency, and a well-equipped cabin.

The trade-offs are worth noting: the CVT transmission can feel loud and sometimes lacking power, and the voice recognition system is poor. In practical terms, that means the Rogue suits you best if you value everyday comfort and features more than sharp powertrain response.

With 29.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.31/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its spacious interior, safety features, fuel economy, comfortable ride, and modern technology. That kind of repeat satisfaction usually matters most when you want a used SUV you can count on over time.

The expert evaluation also supports that impression, noting that the Rogue generally delivers a good balance of ride compliance and body control, with a secure, consistent handling character. Nissan’s warranty coverage is ordinary rather than standout, so your long-term ownership risk is more about the usual used-vehicle wear items than any obvious red flags.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue lineup includes S, SV, SL, and Platinum trim levels. The base S FWD is the least expensive, while higher trims add more upscale materials and equipment; the Platinum stands out for its soft, supple leather seats and richer cabin finish. The SV also gets the Midnight Edition package for 2023, which blacks out the exterior trim.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder VC-Turbo engine with a CVT. It is tuned for a mix of performance and fuel economy, but some drivers may notice an unusual engine note, vibration through the accelerator pedal, and limited passing power on the highway.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, plus surround-view camera, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, driver monitoring, and sonar.
• Infotainment: The Rogue uses an 8-inch or available 9-inch touchscreen. The larger screen can be paired with wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and NissanConnect services; the test vehicle also had a wireless charging pad and a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the test vehicle should have returned 7.7 L/100 km in combined driving, while the evaluation loop averaged 8.1 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Rogue’s core safety and comfort without stretching the budget. It is the trim to start with if value matters most.
• SV: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more equipment and is the basis for the Midnight Edition package. If you want the sweet spot between price and features, this is the one to focus on.
• SL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and more available technology without going all the way to the top trim.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious Rogue, with the richest cabin materials and the most premium presentation. It suits you if you want the most upscale version and are willing to pay for it.

Higher trims can also get ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, along with additional driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,677 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,689 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $26,689 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,209 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the Rogue has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more competition when they go to list their vehicle. If prices stay near the current level, resale values may remain under pressure unless demand strengthens.

The Rogue’s broad appeal, strong owner satisfaction, and steady popularity in Canada should help support demand over time. Even so, a seller will likely need to price carefully to stand out in a market with plenty of inventory.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.31/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA. It gets four-star ratings for the driver and front passenger in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, which combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assistance.

There is one important caveat: updated IIHS testing produced Marginal and Acceptable scores in the small overlap frontal-impact and side-impact tests, respectively. That is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.31/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds the SV Midnight Edition package, which gives the Rogue a fresher look.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,681 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,689 CAD average.
• It brings the new turbocharged engine and broader trim spread.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,518 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $26,689 CAD average.
• It adds Google built-in apps and a more modern tech experience.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and market availability, the 2023 is the sensible middle ground. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want newer tech, the 2024 is the upgrade to compare.
