How much does the 2025 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 23.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,863 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The 2025 Rogue is aimed at you if you want a five-passenger compact SUV with a reasonable price tag, a comfortable ride, good fuel economy, and an upscale interior. Its strengths are broad rather than flashy, and that makes it appealing if you value comfort and everyday usability over outright performance.

The trade-offs are clear: acceleration and passing power are modest, and some rivals are sportier and more fun to drive.

The market shows 36.7% of listings as good or great deals, which points to decent shopping opportunities.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Rogue is presented as a well-rounded compact SUV that Nissan has continually updated and improved over time, and the expert assessment reinforces that it delivers a polished, easy-going ownership experience. Its drivetrain is described as smooth and nicely faded into the background, and the CVT is praised for refinement rather than the usual drone or harshness some shoppers worry about.

The cost-effectiveness notes also highlight that the drivetrain is kind to a fuel budget, and the model’s overall package is described as worthy of a test drive for shoppers seeking an attractive and well-rounded small SUV.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the modest powertrain may feel underwhelming if you expect strong acceleration.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S includes standard all-wheel drive, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, remote start, and dual-zone climate control, while the SV adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, two rear USB-C ports, a subscription-based Wi-Fi hot spot, adaptive cruise control, and a power liftgate. The SL and Platinum bring the larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa, while the Platinum adds semi-aniline leather seating surfaces, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and 10-speaker Bose audio. The SV is the best-value trim if you want a strong feature jump without going all the way to the top.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a 201-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard in Canada. It is smooth and efficient, but it is not especially quick.
• Safety package: Nissan’s standard safety suite includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 2.1 are available on higher trims or as options.
• Infotainment: Lower trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while upper trims get a 12.3-inch screen with wireless smartphone connectivity and Google built-in capability.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rogue delivers a Natural Resources Canada-estimated 7.6 L/100 km combined, and the drivetrain is described as kind to a fuel budget.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it already includes standard all-wheel drive, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, remote start, and dual-zone climate control. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Rogue without giving up core comfort features.

• Midnight Edition: This trim is part of the line-up, but the provided data does not spell out a distinct equipment advantage over the SV or SV Premium.
• SV Premium: This trim is part of the line-up, but the provided data does not spell out a distinct equipment advantage over the SV or Midnight Edition.
• SL: This trim brings the larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa, so it suits you if tech matters more than keeping the budget tight.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,863 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,820 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $29,820 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,970 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future sellers understand where buyer expectations currently sit. If you buy now, you may be entering at a more favourable point than owners who purchased when prices were higher. For resale, that means your eventual return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than broad market momentum alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue safe?

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights.

If you want more advanced assistance, ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 2.1 are available, along with a surround-view parking camera system, traffic sign recognition, a head-up display, and a driver attention monitor on equipped trims or packages.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds Rock Creek trim availability and ProPilot Assist 2.1.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,236 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,820 CAD average.
• It stands out for refreshed styling and Google built-in apps.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the broadest current appeal, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want a tech-forward Rogue, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
