Used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale near Thornhill, ON

How much does the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 10.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 451 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.67/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable seating, especially in the second row, and excellent sound system. The Pathfinder also gets credit for its roomy cabin, usable third row, and strong utility.

The trade-offs are a high starting price and a confusing shifter design, and the ride quality can be uneven depending on the version you choose. It fits best if you want a family-focused midsize SUV with space, tech, and a more rugged image rather than a single standout specialty.

With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with comfortable seating, strong utility, and a cabin that many shoppers can count on for daily family use. The overall impression is of a vehicle that delivers the kind of long-term practicality buyers expect from a three-row SUV.

The expert evaluation also describes it as a roomy, comfortable, and capable family crossover with plenty of cargo and passenger space. Nissan backs it with a three-year/60,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the Pathfinder’s comfort, tech, and rugged styling match your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim gives you AWD, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add features such as a panoramic moonroof, a motion-activated power liftgate, leather seats, a wireless charging pad, a head-up display, and a Bose premium audio system. The Rock Creek stands apart with a more rugged look, off-road tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, a heavy-duty roof cargo rack, and water-repellent interior materials.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and standard AWD. The Rock Creek version is tuned to 295 hp and 270 lb-ft, and it adds off-road shocks plus a slightly taller suspension.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward and reverse collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, driver-attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and ProPilot Assist with lane centring and adaptive cruise control. The SV adds front parking sensors and a 360-degree parking monitor, while the SL adds traffic-sign recognition and navigation-linked ProPilot Assist.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SL, SL Premium, and Platinum trims upgrade to a 9-inch screen, and the SL also adds wireless device charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pathfinder returns 11.6 L/100 km in city driving, 9.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.5 combined. The Rock Creek is rated at 11.9 L/100 km city, 10.0 highway, and 11.1 combined.

Which 2023 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, SL Premium, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it still gives you AWD, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone climate control, and the standard safety and infotainment setup. It makes sense if you want the Pathfinder’s core space and capability without paying for extras.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a panoramic moonroof, a tow hitch receiver, a surround-view monitor, LED fog lamps, and a motion-activated power liftgate. It also brings front parking sensors and a 360-degree parking monitor, which makes daily use easier.
• Rock Creek: Choose this if you want the most rugged version, with off-road tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, unique styling, a heavy-duty roof rack, and a more durable interior. It suits you best if you value the tougher look and added trail capability.
• SL: This trim adds ProPilot Assist with navigation integration, traffic-sign recognition, leather seats, a power passenger seat, wireless charging, and the larger 9-inch touchscreen. It is a strong pick if you want a more upscale daily driver.
• SL Premium: This is the step up for shoppers who want more comfort and audio upgrades, including 20-inch wheels, a head-up display, and a Bose premium audio system with 12 speakers.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious choice, with second-row captain’s chairs, rain-sensing wipers, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, heated and ventilated front seats, and a front-row centre seat-mounted air bag.

The safety package is broad across the range, but the SV, SL, SL Premium, and Platinum trims add useful extras that make them easier to live with.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 451 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.18% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,392 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $38,392 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,743 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy at today’s average, there is less room for immediate appreciation, so resale value will depend more on condition, trim desirability, and mileage.

The Pathfinder’s broad appeal as a family SUV should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want space, tech, and a usable third row. Strong owner satisfaction can also support demand when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS and earns four-star ratings in front crash protection and rollover, and five-star ratings in side crash protection from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward and reverse collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, driver-attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and ProPilot Assist with lane centring and adaptive cruise control. The SV adds front parking sensors and a 360-degree parking monitor, while the SL adds traffic-sign recognition and navigation-linked ProPilot Assist.

The main caveat is that NHTSA has not completed a full suite of crash tests on the 2023 model, so the available ratings come from the identical 2022 model.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds the Rock Creek edition, giving the Pathfinder a more rugged personality and added off-road capability.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,527 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $38,392 CAD average.
• It brings a rugged-looking body style, renewed capability, and thoughtful features that make it feel more than just a straightforward family hauler.

The bottom line: If you want the newer year with the Rock Creek addition and a softer market price than before, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2022 is the smarter value play.
