Used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearToronto, ON

How much does the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 12.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 484 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable interior, and especially the second-row seating, along with the sound system. The Pathfinder also gets credit for its good power and utility, plus a practical layout that works well for commuting, family duties, and road trips.

The trade-offs are a high starting price, a shifter design that can be confusing, and ride quality that can be hard to balance. It makes the most sense if you want one SUV to cover daily use, family hauling, and occasional adventure styling rather than a single standout specialty.

With 35.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers describe it as comfortable, dependable in everyday use, and strong on long-term value thanks to its mix of space, tech, and capability. The Pathfinder also comes across as trouble-free for buyers who want a family SUV they can count on.

Its powertrain is described as smooth and quiet, which supports a low-stress ownership experience. Nissan also backs it with a three-year/60,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that some of the more distinctive features and rugged trim choices may not suit every driver’s needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim gives you AWD, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SV adds a panoramic moonroof, a tow hitch receiver, a surround-view monitor, LED fog lamps, and a motion-activated power liftgate. The Rock Creek adds an off-road tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, unique styling, a heavy-duty roof cargo rack, and water-repellent interior materials. The SL adds ProPILOT Assist with traffic sign recognition and navigation integration, leather seats, a power passenger seat, and wireless charging. The SL Premium adds 20-inch wheels, a head-up display, and a Bose premium audio system. The Platinum adds second-row captain’s chairs, rain-sensing wipers, a digital instrument cluster, heated and ventilated front seats, and a front-row centre air bag.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and standard AWD. The Rock Creek is tuned to 295 hp and 270 lb-ft, and it also adds off-road shocks and a slightly taller suspension. The Pathfinder’s engine is described as smooth and quiet, but the shifter design can be distracting.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward and reverse collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, driver-attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and ProPilot Assist with lane centring and adaptive cruise control. The SV adds front parking sensors and a 360-degree parking monitor. The SL adds traffic-sign recognition and navigation-linked ProPilot Assist.
• Infotainment: The S and SV use an 8-inch touchscreen, while the SL, SL Premium, and Platinum get a 9-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the SL adds wireless device charging. The system is easy to use, though the graphics can feel dated.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel consumption is rated at 11.6 L/100 km in city driving, 9.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.5 L/100 km combined. The Rock Creek is rated at 11.9 L/100 km city, 10.0 L/100 km highway, and 11.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, SL Premium, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value entry point if you want the core Pathfinder experience with AWD, heated front seats, tri-zone climate control, and standard smartphone integration. It gives you the essentials without stretching the budget.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a panoramic moonroof, surround-view monitor, front parking sensors, and a power liftgate. It feels like the first trim that meaningfully broadens everyday convenience.
• Rock Creek: Choose this if you want the most rugged-looking Pathfinder, plus off-road tuning, all-terrain tyres, a roof rack, and water-repellent interior materials. It suits you best if winter use or light trail duty matters more than road comfort.
• SL: This is the smart step-up if you want more comfort and driver assistance, including ProPILOT Assist with navigation integration, leather seats, and wireless charging. It is a strong all-rounder for buyers who want a more premium feel.
• SL Premium: This trim adds a head-up display, larger wheels, and a Bose audio system, so it makes sense if you care about cabin polish and sound quality.
• Platinum: This is the top choice if you want the most upscale Pathfinder, with captain’s chairs, ventilated front seats, and the digital instrument cluster. It is the most luxurious pick, but not the most value-focused.

The safety package is broad across the range, while the SV and above add useful parking and visibility upgrades.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 484 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,712 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $37,712 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,870 CAD.

That price drop suggests the Pathfinder is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may face more competition if the market stays soft.

The good news is that the model’s broad appeal can help support demand, especially if you have a well-equipped trim with the features families want. Strong owner satisfaction can also help keep interest steady when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS, and the identical 2022 model received four-star ratings in front crash protection, five-star ratings in side crash protection, and a four-star rollover rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward and reverse collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, driver-attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and ProPilot Assist with lane centring and adaptive cruise control.

The SV trim adds front parking sensors and a 360-degree parking monitor. The SL adds traffic-sign recognition and navigation-linked ProPilot Assist, while the Platinum adds rain-sensing wipers.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds the Rock Creek edition, giving you a more rugged option within the lineup.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,266 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,712 CAD average.
• It offers a rugged-looking body style with thoughtful features and strong value for the price.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing trend and the added Rock Creek choice, the 2023 is the better target. If your priority is saving money and you still want the Pathfinder’s core family-friendly strengths, the 2022 is the more budget-conscious path.
