Used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearPeterborough, ON

How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 17.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 262 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert score of 7.67/10. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

The GLE stands out as a midsize luxury SUV that blends prestige, performance and practicality, with an impeccable ride quality, agile handling and a high-quality interior. It also brings strong technology content and a broad appeal for buyers who want comfort and versatility in one package.

The trade-offs are worth noting: AMG models are thirsty and expensive, options can quickly push the price upward, and the hybrid’s regenerative braking only brings modest range gains.

With 38.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GLE’s appeal is reinforced by its cabin quality, comfort-focused tuning and the way it adapts easily to different driving situations. Its expert testing also points to a quiet, composed and well-built SUV that feels engineered for everyday use.

The powertrain and chassis behaviour suggest a vehicle that should age well if it’s been maintained properly, especially given the smooth transmission and supple suspension. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is more about cost exposure than basic durability, particularly if the vehicle has been optioned heavily or used in demanding conditions.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base GLE 350 4Matic is the value-oriented choice, while higher trims add more power and equipment. The safety package is comprehensive, but some advanced driver-assistance features remain optional rather than standard.
• Powertrain: You can shop turbocharged four- and six-cylinder options, plus the GLE 450e plug-in hybrid with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, electric motor and 23.3-kWh battery pack. The hybrid is the efficiency-focused pick in the range.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, hands-free park assist, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights and a driver attention monitor. Active blind-spot assist, active lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, active lane change assist and evasive steering assist are optional.
• Infotainment: You get twin 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth and an improved voice-command system. The interface is feature-rich, so expect a learning curve.
• Fuel efficiency: The GLE 450e is rated at 4.1 litres-equivalent per 100 kilometres, or 10.5 city/9.1 highway/9.9 combined in hybrid mode.

Which 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 3 trim levels: GLE 350 4Matic, GLE 450 4Matic, AMG GLE 53 4Matic+.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350 4Matic: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the GLE experience without stretching into the pricier performance models. It suits you if you value the luxury badge, comfort and core equipment over maximum output.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the most balanced choice if you want stronger performance without jumping to AMG pricing. It should suit you best if you want a more rounded luxury SUV with broad everyday appeal.
• AMG GLE 53 4Matic+: Choose this if you want the highest-performance version in the standard lineup and are willing to pay for it. It’s the right fit if driving excitement matters more than running costs.

The safety package is broad, but several advanced driver-assistance features remain optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 262 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $67,551 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $67,689 CAD sits slightly below last year's $82,190 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower price point than the recent average, which can help cushion depreciation if the market stabilises.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 brings a subtle refresh that keeps the GLE competitive, including updated styling and infotainment.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $60,892 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $67,689 CAD average.
• It offers a distinctive SUV-coupe shape with a style-led presence.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-round package, the 2023 is the better pick thanks to its refreshed tech, broad appeal and lower pricing than last year. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly alternative.
