Used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearMarkham, ON

How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 16.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 288 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a midsize luxury SUV that blends prestige, performance, and everyday practicality, with a polished cabin and strong technology. The test-drive notes also point to agile handling and a supple ride, which helps it feel at home whether you want a refined commuter or a versatile family SUV.

The main trade-offs are that options can quickly push the price upward, and the hybrid’s regenerative braking only brings modest range gains.

With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GLE is presented as a polished, high-quality luxury SUV with a cabin and technology package that feel robust and well executed. The expert notes also describe the powertrain transition as almost undetectable and the transmission as seamless, which supports the impression of a well-sorted vehicle.

Its plug-in hybrid setup is described as easy to live with, and the cabin remains quiet even in hybrid mode. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher-end luxury features and options can raise repair and upkeep costs if you buy a heavily equipped example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin quality is a highlight, but the base setup may leave you wanting more of the premium touches and equipment that make the GLE feel especially upscale.
• Powertrain: You can find turbocharged four- and six-cylinder options, and the plug-in hybrid pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor and a 23.3-kWh battery pack.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, hands-free park assist, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, and a driver attention monitor.
• Infotainment: Look for the twin 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and the improved “Hey Mercedes” voice control system.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is estimated at 4.1 litres-equivalent per 100 kilometres, or 10.5 city/9.1 highway/9.9 combined in hybrid mode.

Which 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 5 trim levels: GLE 350 4Matic, GLE 450 4Matic, GLE 450e 4Matic, AMG GLE 53 4Matic+, and GLE 63 S.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350 4Matic: This is the value-focused choice if you want the GLE experience without stretching into the pricier performance models. It should suit you if you care most about the luxury badge, standard AWD, and a more accessible entry point.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the step-up option if you want more power and a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to AMG pricing.
• GLE 450e 4Matic: This is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it combines strong acceleration, quiet operation, and better fuel economy than the thirstier performance models.
• AMG GLE 53 4Matic+: Choose this if you want the sharper performance character and are willing to pay for it.
• GLE 63 S: This is the top performance choice for buyers who want maximum output and are less concerned about fuel use or price.

Standard safety equipment is already broad, while additional driver-assistance features are available on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 288 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $67,288 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $67,288 CAD sits slightly below last year's $80,912 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make resale planning a little more challenging if you are purchasing now. If you sell later, the strongest examples will likely be the ones with desirable equipment, clean history, and broad appeal in the luxury SUV segment.

Because the model still carries a premium badge and strong demand from shoppers who want a refined midsize SUV, it should remain reasonably marketable. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS based on the 2022 model year.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, hands-free park assist, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, and a driver attention monitor. Optional features include active blind-spot assist, active lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, active lane change assist, and evasive steering assist.

The main caveat is that crash tests on the 2024 model had not been completed by IIHS or NHTSA at the time of review, so the rating cited here is based on the prior model year.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a subtle refresh, an updated infotainment system, and an optional off-road-themed air suspension system.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $58,988 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $67,288 CAD average.
• It is a distinctive SUV coupe with a successful low-roof design.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around package, the 2023 is the better path because it combines a refreshed feature set with broad capability and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you like its more distinctive coupe-style shape.
