Used 2023 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearNorth Bay, ON

How much does the 2023 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 4.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 382 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Mazda CX-30 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It comes across as a small crossover that prioritises style, a classy cabin, and engaging driving dynamics over pure utility. The trade-offs are clear: rear-seat room is cramped and cargo space is tight, and the infotainment system is a weak point.

That mix makes the CX-30 a strong fit if you want a subcompact SUV that feels more upscale and more enjoyable to drive than many rivals. 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 CX-30’s appeal is reinforced by its upscale cabin, standard all-wheel drive, and strong safety focus. Its driving character also supports confidence, with a refined feel on the road and a powertrain that delivers solid everyday performance.

The performance tuning and safety equipment suggest a well-engineered small crossover, and the available turbocharged engine adds another layer of capability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same packaging compromises that affect daily usability can also make it less satisfying if you regularly need rear-seat space or cargo room.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mazda CX-30?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GX is the base trim, while the GS, GT, and GT Turbo add more upscale cabin materials and more equipment. The base trim misses several safety features that appear higher up the range.
• Powertrain: The GX uses a 2.0-litre engine, while the GS and GT use a 2.5-litre engine. The GT Turbo adds a turbocharged 2.5-litre engine for the strongest acceleration.
• Safety package: Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on GX. GS adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. GT and GT Turbo add an adaptive front lighting system, surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, automatic rear braking, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The CX-30 uses an 8.8-inch display, and all models include Bluetooth, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two USB ports, and connected services. Turbos add SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, and a 14-speaker Bose premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The GS and GT improve to 8.2 L/100 km combined, while the GT Turbo averaged 10.0 L/100 km on the evaluation drive.

Which 2023 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 4 trim levels: GX, GS, GT, and GT Turbo.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, but it is best if you mainly want the CX-30’s style, standard AWD, and core safety basics at the lowest price.
• GS: This is the best-value trim because it adds the key driver-assistance features many shoppers will want, along with the stronger 2.5-litre engine.
• GT: Choose this if you want a more premium feel, more advanced safety tech, and the added convenience of the surround-view camera and head-up display.
• GT Turbo: This is the enthusiast pick, with the turbocharged engine and the most advanced equipment, but it asks for a significant price premium.

The GS and GT are the strongest value choices, while the GT Turbo makes the most sense if you specifically want the extra power and advanced tech. On the safety side, the GX is missing several important driver-assistance features that come standard on GS and above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mazda CX-30?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 382 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,521 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $27,521 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,852 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a little more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to hold firm on asking prices. If you plan to sell later, you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially given the CX-30’s relatively broad inventory.

The good news is that the model’s upscale feel, strong safety reputation, and engaging driving character should help it stay appealing to used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda adds standard rear side airbags and outboard rear seatbelt tensioners this year, and the CX-30’s safety equipment is strongest on the higher trims. GX gets blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while GS adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.

GT and GT Turbo add an adaptive front lighting system, surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, automatic rear braking, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and a head-up display. The main caveat is that many of the most useful driver-assistance features are not standard on the base trim.

Should I buy a 2023 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends upscale design, strong safety, and engaging driving dynamics with standard AWD.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $25,093 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,521 CAD average.
• It offers a more upscale feel and refined ride.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,101 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $27,521 CAD average.
• It adds a new Suna trim, USB-C charging ports, and a larger infotainment screen with wireless smartphone integration.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want the CX-30’s core strengths at a softer price than the 2024. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look; if you want the newest tech, the 2024 is the better path.
