Is the 2023 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus NX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out for its distinctive styling, minimalist cabin with a large touchscreen display, and broad mix of powertrain choices, including efficient hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The 2023 Lexus NX is described as having an excellent dependability reputation, and that matters if you want a luxury SUV that should be reassuring to own over time. Its appeal is strongest if you value comfort, technology, and confidence more than outright driving excitement. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about reliability and more about choosing the right trim and option package for your needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,327 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $44,739 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,178 CAD.

That small decline suggests the NX has held value fairly well, even as the market has softened a bit. For a future seller, that kind of stability is encouraging because it points to predictable depreciation rather than a sharp drop. The model’s strong reputation and broad appeal should help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $42,234 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $44,739 CAD average.
• The redesign brought a more modern, more dynamic, and more tech-focused feel.

The bottom line: Buy the 2023 if you want the strongest mix of current-market stability, owner satisfaction, and broad powertrain choice. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better value play and still gives you the redesigned NX’s modern direction at a lower entry price.
