Is the 2023 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2023 Lexus NX, and it fits a model that blends distinctive styling with a broad range of powertrains. The NX’s appeal lies in choice and efficiency, with a premium feel, useful technology, and a strong reputation for reliability. The 2023 Lexus NX is described as having a strong reputation for reliability, and its appeal is tied to exceptional dependability as much as style and technology. For used buyers, that points to lower ownership risk over time if you keep up with routine maintenance and choose a well-kept example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 178 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,347 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $44,052 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,282 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal for future resale: it may help you buy at a more favourable point now, but it also means the market has already adjusted downward. If demand stays steady, a well-kept NX should remain appealing to shoppers who want a premium compact SUV with a strong reliability reputation. The model’s broad powertrain range and upscale positioning should help it stay relevant with used buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $41,971 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $44,052 CAD average.
• It brings a fresher design and a stronger technology focus.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you like its more modern feel.
