Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and it fits an SUV that blends genuine off-road ability with a more premium, luxury-leaning character than many mainstream SUVs. If you want an SUV that can feel refined without giving up the hardware for rough conditions, that combination is the Grand Cherokee’s core appeal. With 34.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Grand Cherokee’s appeal comes from its established formula: capability, upscale features, and a premium feel without moving fully into traditional luxury-brand pricing. It also keeps Jeep’s off-road identity intact, which matters if you plan to use it beyond paved roads.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher-spec versions can become expensive to maintain and replace if you choose a more heavily equipped example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 465 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,007 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $38,007 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,851 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also suggests the market has adjusted downward from where it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, your return will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is equipped and maintained. Higher-demand examples should still hold attention because the Grand Cherokee offers a mix of comfort, technology, and real trail capability that many shoppers still want.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,540 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $38,007 CAD average.
• The 2022 is a redesigned SUV with strong off-road ability and everyday comfort.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and satisfaction. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look because it delivers similar core strengths for less money.
