Used 2023 Jeep Compass for Sale nearVancouver, BC

How much does the 2023 Jeep Compass cost?

Prices have softened 14.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 430 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Compass a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Jeep Compass earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, upgraded interior, and improved safety features, and many also like the larger touchscreen and user-friendly tech. The Compass also benefits from a more refined powertrain and standard all-wheel drive, which makes it more appealing if you want a compact SUV with a stronger technical foundation. The trade-offs are clear, though: value for the money is weak, visibility is poor, and the back seat feels cramped. If you want a Jeep badge, standard AWD, and modern tech in a compact SUV, it fits that brief better than it does the bargain-hunter brief.

Only 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than broadly discounted.

Is the 2023 Jeep Compass reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable enough for many shoppers, with praise for its upgraded interior, improved safety features, and overall solid compact SUV character. The expert review also describes the new turbocharged engine as quieter, smoother, and more refined, which supports confidence in day-to-day use. Jeep’s added standard equipment and updated powertrain help the Compass feel more mature than older versions.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Compass still carries value and practicality compromises, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Compass?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Sport, North, Altitude, Trailhawk, Limited, (Red) Edition, and Trailhawk Elite. The base Sport misses automatic high-beam headlights, while North adds more driver-assistance equipment and Trailhawk trims are the ones aimed at exploring off the beaten path.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 200 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The engine is smoother and more refined than before, but it is tuned with fuel economy in mind rather than maximum punch.
• Safety package: Standard advanced driver-assistance systems include forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. North adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability.
• Infotainment: Every model has a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth for two devices, SiriusXM satellite radio, SiriusXM Guardian connected services, Wi-Fi access, and over-the-air updates. Depending on trim, you can also get a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, embedded navigation, and a nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy rating is 8.8 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the review’s test loop returned 9.9 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Jeep Compass trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Compass is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, North, Altitude, Trailhawk, Limited, (Red) Edition, and Trailhawk Elite.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it misses automatic high-beam headlights, so it makes the most sense only if you want the lowest-cost way into the Compass and can live with fewer features.
• North: This is the best-value trim because it adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go, making it the smartest balance of equipment and price.
• Altitude: Choose this if you want a more upscale look and feel without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims.
• Trailhawk: This is the one to choose if you want the most off-road-focused Compass, with Jeep Active Drive Low, a low range, a 20:1 crawl ratio, Rock mode, skid plates, recovery hooks, and a lifted suspension.
• Limited: This is the most polished everyday choice, with the richer cabin presentation, available digital instrumentation, navigation, Alpine audio, and the strongest premium feel in the lineup.
• (Red) Edition: Pick this if you want a distinctive appearance-focused trim with a special-edition flavour.
• Trailhawk Elite: This is the most feature-rich Trailhawk variant, best suited to buyers who want the off-road hardware plus a more upscale equipment mix.

The safety package starts with standard ADAS on every trim, while North is the first trim to add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Compass?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 430 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.51% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,266 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Compass's resale value?

The current average of $27,346 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,987 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Compass has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future buyers but may limit how quickly sellers recover their money. If you buy at the right price now, there is less downside left than there was a year ago. Still, the model’s value story depends heavily on trim and condition, because higher-priced versions face tougher competition.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Compass safe?

The 2023 Compass earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS in prior testing, though it is currently ineligible for the latest award until further testing is complete.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, drowsy driver detection, and a rear-seat reminder system. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability are added at North, while traffic sign recognition and front and rear parking sensors are available upgrades.

The lane-keeping inputs can feel too obvious, and the adaptive cruise control is not especially smooth in braking or maintaining distance. That means the Compass has a solid safety toolkit, but some of its driver-assistance tuning could be better.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Compass or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 brings a new turbocharged engine, standard all-wheel drive, and additional safety features.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,570 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,346 CAD average.
• It feels more upscale than many rivals and offers strong off-road capability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $28,136 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $27,346 CAD average.
• It keeps the powertrain upgrade and adds good tech and impressive safety features.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right pick if you want the updated powertrain and standard AWD without moving up to newer pricing. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want a slightly newer take with similar appeal, the 2024 is worth a look.
