Used 2023 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearVancouver, BC

How much does the 2023 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 3.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 366 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Mazda CX-30 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It stands out as a small crossover that leans hard into its compact footprint, with an attractive design, a classy and high-quality interior, and driving manners that are more enjoyable than many buyers expect from a subcompact SUV. The trade-offs are clear: rear-seat space is cramped and cargo room is limited, and the infotainment system is a weak point.

The CX-30 is a strong fit if you want style and driving enjoyment in a small SUV rather than maximum practicality. 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-30’s appeal is reinforced by its upscale cabin, standard all-wheel drive, and the sense of refinement Mazda builds into the driving experience. The expert evaluation also points to a well-executed powertrain and a premium-feeling interior, both of which support confidence in day-to-day ownership.

Mazda’s standard AWD and the model’s generally polished mechanical character are reassuring for used buyers, but the cramped rear seat and limited cargo space remain the main long-term compromises if your needs change.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mazda CX-30?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GX is the most basic version, with cloth seats and fewer standard safety features than higher trims. The GS adds the key safety equipment many shoppers will want, while the GT and GT Turbo bring more luxury and convenience features.
• Powertrain: The GX uses a 2.0-litre engine, while the GS and GT use a 2.5-litre engine with better fuel economy than the previous year. The GT Turbo adds a turbocharged 2.5-litre engine with much stronger output on premium fuel, though regular fuel still works.
• Safety package: The standard suite includes blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert on GX, while GS adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. GT and GT Turbo add an adaptive front lighting system, surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, automatic rear braking, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The system uses an 8.8-inch display, but it is not a touchscreen. All CX-30s have Bluetooth, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two USB ports, and connected services, while turbo models add SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, and a Bose premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-litre engine is rated at 8.2 L/100 km combined, and the test vehicle averaged 10.0 L/100 km on the evaluation drive.

Which 2023 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 4 trim levels: GX, GS, GT, and GT Turbo.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, but it leaves out several desirable safety and convenience features that many used buyers will want. It makes sense only if price is your top priority.
• GS: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the core safety equipment and keeps the CX-30’s strong value proposition intact.
• GT: This is the sweet spot if you want a more upscale feel, more advanced safety tech, and extra convenience features without jumping to turbo pricing.
• GT Turbo: Choose this if you want the strongest acceleration and the most advanced equipment, but it commands a premium that makes it harder to justify unless performance matters most.

The safety-package trim note is straightforward: GX gets blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while GS is the first trim to add the broader active-safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mazda CX-30?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 366 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.62% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,031 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $28,057 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,109 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale values to depend heavily on trim, condition, and equipment rather than broad market momentum alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda improved side-impact crash protection this year with standard rear side airbags, outboard rear seatbelt tensioners, and other updates. Standard safety equipment starts with blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert on GX, while GS adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.

GT and GT Turbo add an adaptive front lighting system, surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, automatic rear braking, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and a head-up display. The main caveat is that many of the most useful active-safety features are not standard on the base trim.

Should I buy a 2023 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds improved side-impact protection and keeps the CX-30’s upscale, fun-to-drive character.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,826 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $28,057 CAD average.
• It focuses on refinement, premium materials, and fun-to-drive character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,382 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $28,057 CAD average.
• It adds a new trim, USB-C charging ports, and a larger infotainment screen with wireless smartphone integration.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest mix of value, safety, and driving enjoyment. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is the cheaper path; if you want newer tech, the 2024 is the better upgrade.
