Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness and comfort, especially for family use and cargo hauling, and they also value the flexible second-row seating and the many safety features. Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable for family use, with comfort and practicality that make it easy to count on day to day. The owner feedback also points to a trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, especially those focused on long-term usefulness rather than flash.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly, since a careful history check matters more on older examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 192 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,004 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $42,004 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,899 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and service history than to broad market momentum. If you keep the vehicle well maintained, you can help protect its value even in a softer pricing environment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,200 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $42,004 CAD average.
• It prioritises driving enjoyment and a familiar, proven formula.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of owner satisfaction, pricing, and availability. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you like the Odyssey’s established family-friendly formula and can find a well-kept example.
