Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness and comfort, especially for families and cargo hauling, and they also value the flexible second-row seating and the many safety features. Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable for family duty, with comfort and practicality standing out over time. The same feedback also suggests you should pay attention to maintenance history, since some drivers want better fuel efficiency and more customisable dashboard settings. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but a careful inspection still matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 191 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,760 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $41,760 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,728 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and service records to protect value. Strong family appeal can still support demand, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,147 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $41,760 CAD average.
• It drives with a light, responsive feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, owner satisfaction, and deal availability. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you find one with a solid maintenance record.
