Is the 2023 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Civic earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, fuel efficiency, roomy interior, and strong performance. That lines up well with its role as a practical small car that still delivers everyday driving enjoyment, and the current market also shows 28.3% of listings as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Civic?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,102 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,948 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $25,948 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,029 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled from a stronger position, which can make future resale gains harder to achieve if you buy at the top of the range. If you purchase near the lower end of today’s pricing, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation. Strong demand should still help, but the current trend favours buyers more than sellers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,755 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $25,948 CAD average.
• It brings a thoroughly redesigned Civic with strong technology and a polished overall package.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,701 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $25,948 CAD average.
• It adds a more performance-focused setup with a manual transmission and enthusiast appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and market availability, the 2023 is the primary pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the smarter value play; if you want a more enthusiast-oriented Civic and can spend more, the 2024 is the better fit.
