How much does the 2023 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 14.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 102 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord a good car?

With a 3.5/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating, the 2023 Accord looks like a solid but not flawless pick for you if you want a traditional four-door family sedan that is enjoyable to drive and practical for everyday use.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The Accord’s appeal is rooted in the basics that matter most to many buyers: it is fun to drive, has a spacious interior, and earns great safety ratings. At the same time, it does not offer all-wheel drive, a third-row seat, or a big cargo area you can pack to the roof, so it is best suited to buyers who value driving enjoyment and everyday practicality over maximum versatility.

Trade-offs include several minor comfort issues and a value proposition that may be questionable for the money.

With 27.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord reliable?

The 2023 Accord presents itself as a robust, well-engineered family sedan with a strong safety and refinement focus.

Honda’s safety and driver-assistance systems are described as accurate, refined, and sophisticated, and the car’s structure is said to feel robust. The Accord also does a good job of filtering shimmy, shudder, and harshness from the cabin, which supports the impression of a durable, well-sorted vehicle.

Honda Sensing is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system.

For long-term ownership, the main risk for used buyers is less about outright durability and more about whether the Accord’s premium pricing and modest comfort compromises still feel worthwhile over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX is the gas-only version in Canada, and it brings a more technical look, cloth seats with contrast stitching, metal mesh dashboard trim, a digital instrument cluster, and a touchscreen infotainment system. It is nicely outfitted for the price and class, but it does not feel especially upscale.
• Powertrain: The EX uses a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive. It is adequate rather than quick, and the car is not available with all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system.
• Infotainment: The EX has a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen, plus Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, HondaLink connected services, Wi-Fi access, an SOS emergency call button, two USB-C ports, and an eight-speaker audio system. Wireless smartphone integration is not included.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the Accord EX should return 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving. The Sport Hybrid is rated at 5.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord is offered in 1 trim level: EX.

Here's the short version:

• EX: This is the gas-only Accord in Canada, and it is the trim to focus on if you want the standard 1.5-litre turbo engine, Honda Sensing, the 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, the 7-inch touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the eight-speaker audio system. It is the only standard gas model described here, but it is also the trim where the Accord’s value concerns are most obvious, so it suits you best if you care more about the Accord’s driving feel and safety than about feature richness.

Honda Sensing is standard across the model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 102 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,728 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $27,734 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,543 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Accord has softened meaningfully in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means you may need to price competitively if you want to move the car quickly.

The current average also sits near the low end of the year-round range, which points to a market that has already adjusted downward. If demand stays steady, resale should remain respectable, but you should not expect the model to command the same pricing it did a year ago.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord safe?

The 2023 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system.

The system is described as accurate, refined, and sophisticated, though the lane-centring system can waver a bit near highway off-ramps and the lane-departure warning is subtle rather than forceful.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.78% compared with last year.
• The 2023 Accord’s redesign gives you a more modern take on the traditional family sedan, with strong safety, a spacious cabin, and a fun driving character.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Accord shape and can live with the gas-only EX’s modest feature set, the 2023 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may deliver a similar ownership experience for less money, especially if you are willing to trade some of the 2023 redesign’s freshness for a lower asking price.
