Is the 2023 GMC Acadia a good car?

Yes — 4.9/5 is a strong user rating, and it lines up with the Acadia’s appeal as a comfortable, family-oriented crossover. Drivers commonly praise its modern features, comfort, enjoyable driving experience, stylish interior, safety features, spaciousness, and fuel efficiency. Is the 2023 GMC Acadia reliable?

The user feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with drivers highlighting comfort, modern features, and a trouble-free ownership experience. For used buyers, the main risk is less about outright reliability and more about choosing the right trim and condition so you avoid paying for features you do not need.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 176 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $36,094 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $36,094 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,549 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Acadia has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and choose a desirable trim, you may be better positioned when it is time to sell. The current market also shows enough demand to support used values, especially for well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,738 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $36,094 CAD average.
• It brings a redesigned body with a larger cabin and updated tech.

The bottom line:
The 2023 is the better value if you want a well-equipped Acadia at a lower price and are comfortable with the older design. If you want the newest cabin, more space, and a more substantial redesign, the 2024 is the upgrade path, but it comes at a much higher cost. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the smarter starting point.
