Is the 2023 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and that lines up with the strong enthusiasm around its performance, aesthetics, and value. Many owners also praise the driving experience, the sound system, and the convertible option, while the overview points to a car that still feels like a Mustang but is more usable day to day. If you want a rear-wheel-drive sports car with heritage appeal and a broad range of configurations, this model year fits that brief well. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a decent amount of market opportunity.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that many buyers find dependable in everyday use, with strong satisfaction tied to performance and overall ownership experience. That said, the model-year overview also flags some reported concerns on EcoBoost versions, so reliability can depend heavily on the specific example you choose. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is best managed by checking service records carefully and focusing on well-maintained cars.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 197 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,795 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $43,772 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,542 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted a bit, which can help you buy with less risk of immediate overpaying. For a future seller, the current trend implies resale values may remain competitive, but not especially strong if broader supply stays healthy. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clear history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $51,982 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $43,772 CAD average.
• It brings significantly upgraded interior and technology.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully within a broad used inventory. If you want the newer cabin and tech improvements, the 2024 is the stronger upgrade, but it comes at a meaningful premium. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the more practical path.
