Used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearWaterloo, ON

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 12.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 295 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its features, comfort, driving dynamics, heated seats, safety technology, and spaciousness. That lines up well with its role as an entry-level small SUV that aims to be practical, well equipped, and easy to live with.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: the transmission can be irritating, advanced safety features are not standard, and fuel economy is poor. Even so, it fits buyers who want a distinctive, affordable subcompact crossover with everyday usability.

With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still decent market value to be found.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, especially because they value its comfort, features, and driving dynamics. That kind of satisfaction usually goes hand in hand with a dependable ownership experience.

The Trailblazer’s powertrain is described as a small, efficiency-focused setup, and the overall package is presented as practical and easy to use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether you can live with the transmission behaviour and fuel economy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LS is the most stripped-down version, while the LT adds more flexibility, and the Activ and RS bring more distinctive styling. If you want the best balance of equipment and value, the LT is the one to focus on first.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with front-wheel drive, or an optional 1.3-litre turbo-three with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Front-wheel-drive models use a CVT, while all-wheel-drive models use a nine-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are optional, so check whether a used example has those extras.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 8-inch screen, navigation, a Bose audio system, rear-seat USB ports, and wireless phone charging are optional.
• Fuel efficiency: NRCan ratings are 8.0 L/100 km city, 7.6 highway, and 7.8 combined for 1.2-litre FWD models; 8.1 city, 7.2 highway, and 7.7 combined for 1.3-litre FWD models; and 8.9 city, 7.8 highway, and 8.4 combined for 1.3-litre AWD models. Real-world testing returned 9.4 L/100 km in a 1.3-litre AWD test vehicle.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the most basic equipment. It is also limited to the smaller engine and front-wheel drive.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it opens the door to the stronger engine and all-wheel drive while staying below the more expensive Activ and RS models.
• Activ: Choose this if you want the more rugged look and the model-specific styling touches, including the faux skid plate, roof rails, and chunkier tires.
• RS: Pick this if you prefer the sportier appearance, with blacked-out trim, a mesh grille, dual exhaust outlets, and an available panoramic sunroof.

The safety package is not standard across the lineup, so check carefully for optional driver-assistance features on any used Trailblazer you consider.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 295 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,962 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $24,084 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,420 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Trailblazer is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same pricing strength if market conditions stay similar.

At the same time, the model’s appeal as a stylish, practical small SUV helps support demand. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should still have a reasonable pool of interested shoppers later on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The Trailblazer was named a 2022 Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave it five-star ratings in the frontal and side crash-test categories, with four stars in rollover crash testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Optional driver-assistance features include blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

One caveat is that the standard halogen headlights were only rated “Average,” while the optional LED headlights scored “Good.”

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines stylish design, easy-to-use technology, and strong value for money.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,640 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,084 CAD average.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and extra paint choices.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,148 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $24,084 CAD average.
• It improves passenger space, cargo capacity, style, and ease of use.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want the current-year balance of price, features, and market availability. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the value play; if you want a more polished package and can spend more, the 2024 is the better upgrade path.
