Used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearNewmarket, ON

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 13.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 299 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns a 4.91/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its features, comfort, and driving dynamics, along with the heated seats, safety technology, and spaciousness. In use, that lines up well with its role as an entry-level small SUV that aims to be practical, stylish, and easy to live with.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission can be irritating, and fuel economy is poor. Even so, it fits buyers who want a well-equipped, affordable subcompact crossover with a distinctive look and everyday usability.

With 26.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still decent market room to find a strong-value example.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.91/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels reliable, dependable, and easy to count on, especially for everyday use. The expert review also supports that impression by describing the Trailblazer as a practical small SUV with a solid mix of comfort and usability.

Chevrolet backs it with a three-year, 60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is more about day-to-day refinement and fuel use than major dependability red flags.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the most basic version, while the LT adds more flexibility, and the Activ and RS bring more distinctive styling. The base trim misses some of the visual and convenience upgrades that make the higher trims feel more complete.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with front-wheel drive or an optional 1.3-litre turbo-three with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. FWD models use a CVT, while AWD models use a nine-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are optional, so check whether a used example has them.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes a 7-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, Bose audio, rear-seat USB ports, wireless charging, and a 4.2-inch instrument cluster screen are optional.
• Fuel efficiency: NRCan ratings range from 7.7 L/100 km combined for the 1.3-litre FWD model to 8.4 L/100 km combined for the 1.3-litre AWD model. In testing, the AWD model returned 9.4 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the most basic equipment. It is the only trim tied to the smaller engine and front-wheel drive, so it suits buyers focused on value over extras.
• LT: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it opens the door to the stronger engine and all-wheel drive while staying below the more expensive trims. It gives you the most flexibility without jumping straight to the pricier appearance-focused models.
• Activ: Choose this if you want the more rugged look and the unique styling touches, including the model-specific front fascia, roof rails, and chunkier tyres. It suits you best if appearance and a more outdoorsy vibe matter more than pure value.
• RS: Pick this if you prefer the sportier visual treatment, with blacked-out trim, a mesh grille, and dual exhaust outlets. It is the right fit if you want the most aggressive styling in the lineup.

The safety package is strong overall, but advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so check carefully for optional equipment on any used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 299 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,999 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $24,236 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,867 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Trailblazer is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same pricing strength unless market conditions improve.

The good news is that the model’s broad appeal, practical size, and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand over time. If you keep mileage reasonable and the vehicle is well equipped, it should remain attractive to used buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer was named a 2022 Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in the frontal and side crash-test categories and four-star ratings in rollover crash testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Optional driver-assistance features include blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

One caveat is that the standard halogen headlights were only rated “Average,” while the optional LED headlights scored “Good.”

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines stylish design, easy-to-use technology, and strong value for money.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,121 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,236 CAD average.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and a few convenience updates.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,279 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $24,236 CAD average.
• It improves passenger space, cargo capacity, style, and ease of use.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, style, and everyday usability, the 2023 is the sweet spot. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look; if you want a slightly more polished package and can spend more, the 2024 is the better step up.
