Used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale near Saskatchewan

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 10.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 542 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

It remains a sensible compact crossover for you if you want comfort, simplicity, and value over excitement. The ride quality is a standout, the technology is easy to use, and the cabin is practical and approachable. On the other hand, the performance is fairly pedestrian, the transmission can be irritating, and road noise is a drawback.

With 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Equinox is presented as a proven, sensible compact SUV rather than a cutting-edge one, and its updates for the year add a bit more polish. Its straightforward layout and easy-to-use controls support low-stress ownership, while the revised braking system and added engine output help it feel more refined than before. Chevrolet also positions it as a strong value play in a competitive segment.

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine and six-speed automatic are simple, familiar components, which can be reassuring for used buyers. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that its age and modest performance may make it feel less current than newer rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS, LT, RS, and Premier trims give you a clear ladder to climb. The base LS is the most stripped-back, while the LT adds more convenience, and the RS and Premier bring more premium equipment. Heated front seats are standard on all trims, but the heated steering wheel is not available on the base LS.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 175 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. It is adequate around town, but it is not especially quick at higher speeds.
• Safety package: Chevrolet Safety Assist is not named here, but the Equinox includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.
• Infotainment: The LS, LT, and RS use a 7-inch touchscreen, while the Premier gets an 8-inch unit. All trims get wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, plus Bluetooth and a Wi-Fi hotspot with an OnStar subscription.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models should return 9.9 L/100 km in the city, 7.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.0 L/100 km combined. FWD models are rated at 8.9 L/100 km city, 7.7 L/100 km highway, and 8.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, RS, and Premier.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the core Equinox experience with standard heated front seats and the same easy-to-use tech layout as the rest of the range. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra convenience features.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful everyday upgrades without pushing you too far up the price ladder. It also unlocks the heated steering wheel, which is a worthwhile comfort feature in Canada.
• RS: Choose this if you want a sportier look and more equipment than the LT, but you should still expect the same modest performance. It suits you best if appearance matters more than outright capability.
• Premier: This is the most upscale choice, with the larger 8-inch touchscreen, standard heated steering wheel, and the most premium-feeling cabin presentation. It is the trim to buy if you want the most complete Equinox experience.

Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 542 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,870 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $24,956 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,001 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Equinox is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly. If you own one and plan to sell later, you may need to be realistic about pricing, especially if the market stays competitive. The good news is that value-oriented SUVs can still attract steady interest when they are well equipped and priced correctly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, but it scored a Poor rating in the IIHS moderate overlap front crash test and a Marginal score in the IIHS side-impact crash test.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The Equinox includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams as standard equipment. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.

Those IIHS results are the main caution for used buyers, especially if safety performance is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds extra engine power, a more sophisticated braking system, and new paint colours.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,330 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,956 CAD average.
• It was updated with revised styling, a new RS trim, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced used buy, the 2023 is the stronger pick because it brings meaningful updates and still sits at a softened price point. If your priority is saving money above all else, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you can find one with the features you want.
