Used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale near Manitoba

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 10.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 542 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

It remains a sensible compact crossover with a comfortable ride, easy-to-use technology, and strong value for money. At the same time, it is still held back by fairly pedestrian performance, an irritating transmission, and a noisy demeanour.

Those trade-offs matter most if you want something lively or especially refined, but they are easier to accept if your priority is everyday usability and affordability. 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is presented as a practical, easygoing SUV with a straightforward cabin and a comfort-first character. Its updated braking system and well-sorted suspension support the impression of a vehicle built for predictable daily use.

Chevrolet also gives you a simple, familiar powertrain and a conventional layout that should feel approachable over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same dated-feeling drivetrain and cabin character that make it easy to live with can also make it feel less fresh as the kilometres add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS, LT, RS, and Premier each build on the same practical foundation, but the base LS misses some convenience touches you may want, including a heated steering wheel. Heated front seats are standard across the range, while the LT, RS, and Premier add more comfort and convenience features as you move up.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 175 hp and a six-speed automatic transmission. It is fine for city driving, but it can feel noisy and unhurried when you ask for more at higher speeds.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.
• Infotainment: The LS, LT, and RS use a 7-inch touchscreen, while Premier gets an 8-inch unit. All trims get wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, plus Bluetooth connectivity and a Wi-Fi hotspot with an OnStar subscription.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models should return 9.9 L/100 km in the city, 7.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.0 combined. FWD models should return 8.9 city, 7.7 highway, and 8.4 combined.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, RS, and Premier.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the core Equinox experience with standard heated front seats, wireless smartphone integration, and the same practical layout as the pricier trims. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry cost and can live without some comfort upgrades.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful convenience without pushing the price too far. You gain access to a heated steering wheel, and it keeps the Equinox’s easygoing, user-friendly character intact.
• RS: This trim adds a sportier appearance and sits above the LT, but the content here still points to the same underlying powertrain and everyday driving character. Choose it if you want a more distinctive look rather than a major mechanical upgrade.
• Premier: This is the most upscale choice, with the larger 8-inch touchscreen, standard heated steering wheel, and the most comfort-oriented presentation. It suits you best if you want the most complete Equinox experience and are willing to pay for it.

Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 542 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,724 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $24,724 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,645 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Equinox is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly. If you plan to sell later, you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if the market stays well supplied.

The good news is that the model’s practical appeal and value positioning should help it remain relevant with used shoppers. A vehicle that is easy to live with and broadly affordable can still attract steady demand even when prices cool.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, but it scored a Poor rating in the IIHS moderate overlap front crash test and a Marginal score in the side-impact crash test.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.

The main caveat is that the IIHS results are weaker than the NHTSA result, so you should weigh the standard driver-assistance suite against those crash-test shortcomings.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Chevy’s compact crossover enters 2023 with a little extra power, a more sophisticated braking system, and three new paint colours.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,303 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,724 CAD average.
• It adds revised styling, a new RS trim, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The bottom line: If you want the better-priced current-year choice with modest updates and strong value, the 2023 is the cleaner pick. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is still a sensible alternative with many of the same practical strengths.
