Used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale nearWinnipeg, MB

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 6.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 246 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

It’s a mixed but appealing choice if you want a modern midsize truck with strong capability and a clear off-road lean. The user rating is 3/5, and the expert rating is 6.5/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Chevrolet gives you a crew-cab, short-bed layout, modern instrumentation, and a turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain, while the truck’s robust engineering and impressive payload and towing figures make it useful for work and recreation. The trade-offs are the cheap-feeling interior, the aggravating forward collision warning system, and poor fuel economy.

With 34.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2023 Colorado is built around a modern turbocharged four-cylinder setup and a thoroughly updated platform, which gives it a more contemporary feel than older versions. The expert testing also describes it as robustly engineered, with quiet highway manners and solid structural rigidity.

The powertrain is presented as satisfyingly swift, and the truck’s hardware is geared toward durability and capability rather than complexity for its own sake. The cost-effectiveness commentary also notes that pickup trucks are not fuel efficient without a diesel or hybrid powertrain, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to own one long term.

If you’re buying used, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that the safety-system annoyance and fuel costs could outweigh the truck’s strengths for some drivers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The WT is the most basic version, and it lacks some of the visual polish and equipment found on higher trims. The LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 bring nicer cabins and more body-colour treatment, while the Trail Boss also adds a purposeful front skid plate.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic. WT and LT models use the lower-output version, while Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 get the stronger tune; the ZR2’s high-output version adds even more torque.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors are optional.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets digital instrumentation and an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar, connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Wireless charging is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trail Boss is rated at 12.4 L/100 km combined, and testing returned 13.8 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Colorado experience with the standard turbocharged engine, digital instrumentation, and the 11.3-inch touchscreen. It’s the trim to consider if you want the lowest-cost way into the redesigned truck, but it’s also the most stripped-back in appearance and feel.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more polished presentation while keeping the Colorado’s modern tech and everyday usability. If you want a more balanced mix of equipment and price, this is the one to focus on.
• Trail Boss: This is the right pick if you want the Colorado’s off-road character without jumping to the most extreme version. It adds a suspension lift, all-terrain tires, hill descent control, and a more rugged look.
• Z71: This trim builds on the off-road-oriented formula with the stronger engine tune and standard 4WD, making it a good choice if you want more capability and a more upscale feel than the Trail Boss.
• ZR2: This is the most capable off-road version, with the high-output engine, a larger lift, mud-terrain tires, and exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers. Choose it if off-road performance matters more than price.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the range, but the more advanced driver-assistance features remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 246 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.36% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,148 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $43,399 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,344 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Colorado has become a little easier to buy than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same level of price support if market conditions stay soft.

The good news is that the truck still has strong appeal thanks to its modern tech, off-road focus, and capability. If you keep mileage reasonable and the truck is well maintained, those strengths should help it remain attractive to used buyers.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The 2023 Colorado does not have a strong expert safety score, and its standard driver-assistance setup is undermined by a problematic forward collision warning system.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Optional safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors.

The main caveat is the forward collision warning system, which is described as overly sensitive and prone to false alerts. That issue is serious enough that it could affect your day-to-day experience even if the rest of the safety package is solid.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.36% compared with last year.
• It gives you a modern crew-cab midsize truck with strong capability and standout technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $47,872 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $43,399 CAD average.
• It shifts further toward recreation-focused trims and a more modern lifestyle-truck feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and can live with its safety-system annoyance and fuel-economy compromises. Consider the 2024 if you’re willing to pay more for a newer-feeling, more recreation-focused Colorado.
