Used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale nearGloucester, ON

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 5.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 246 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

It’s a strong fit if you want a modern midsize truck with a clear focus on capability, technology, and off-road use, though some compromises remain. The Colorado earns 3/5 from users and 6.5/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Chevrolet gives you a crew-cab, short-bed layout, modern instrumentation, and a well-equipped cabin even in the base Work Truck trim. It also brings robust engineering, impressive payload and towing capacity, and a design that is described as good-looking.

The trade-offs are the aggravating forward collision warning system and interior materials that feel cheap, and fuel economy is also a weak point. That makes it best suited to you if you value truck capability and modern features more than cabin polish or efficiency.

30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2023 Colorado is built around a modern turbocharged four-cylinder setup and a broad set of standard safety technologies, which gives it a solid foundation for everyday use. Chevrolet also equips every truck with digital instrumentation, an 11.3-inch touchscreen, and Google Built-in technology, so the core hardware is current.

The powertrain is described as robustly engineered, and the truck’s structure is praised for its rigidity. That said, the forward collision warning system is overly sensitive and can be frustrating in daily driving, which is a real concern if you plan to live with the truck long term.

If you’re buying used, the main ownership risk is that a persistent safety-system annoyance could affect your satisfaction more than any mechanical issue.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Work Truck trim gets the modern screens and core tech, but the LT, Z71, and ZR2 bring nicer cabins and more body-colour treatment, while the WT and Trail Boss can feel especially plain inside. The Trail Boss also adds a purposeful front skid plate that the WT lacks.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine, with 237 horsepower in WT and LT trims and 310 horsepower in Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 models. The ZR2’s high-output version adds 430 lb-ft of torque, while the Trail Boss and ZR2 also get more off-road-focused hardware.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors are optional.
• Infotainment: Every Colorado gets an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar, Chevrolet connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The digital instrument display is 8 inches on most trims and 11 inches on the ZR2.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trail Boss is rated at 12.4 litres per 100 kilometres combined, and testing returned 13.8 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the entry point, and it still gives you the core modern tech, including the digital instrumentation and 11.3-inch touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the redesigned Colorado and can live with the plainest cabin.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more polished feel while keeping the Colorado’s core strengths intact. If you want a more balanced daily driver without jumping into the off-road-focused trims, this is the one to start with.
• Trail Boss: This is the right pick if you want the Colorado’s off-road character to be front and centre. It adds a suspension lift, all-terrain tyres, and more rugged hardware, but it also keeps the cabin relatively basic.
• Z71: This trim builds on the off-road theme with more powerful engine tuning and all-terrain tyres, while also moving you closer to a more premium-feeling truck. It suits you if you want capability with a bit more polish.
• ZR2: This is the most serious off-road version, with the highest-output engine tune, mud-terrain tyres, a larger driver display, and exclusive off-road hardware. Choose it if off-road performance matters more than price.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the range, but some advanced driver-assistance features remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 246 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,027 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $43,311 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,946 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Colorado has become a bit easier to buy than it was a year ago. If you’re a future seller, that means you may face more price pressure unless your truck is especially well equipped or in strong condition.

The current range also shows that buyers are still paying meaningful money for clean examples, so well-kept trucks should remain attractive. Still, the year-over-year decline points to a market that currently favours shoppers more than sellers.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The 2023 Colorado is a Top Safety Pick candidate in IIHS language and earns five-star ratings from NHTSA in the tests mentioned in the source text.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. OnStar SOS emergency calling, automatic crash notification, Teen Driver, and Buckle to Drive are also part of the truck’s safety story.

The main caveat is the forward collision warning system, which is described as overly sensitive and prone to false alerts. Optional upgrades include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.73% compared with last year.
• It combines modern tech, strong capability, and a clear off-road focus.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $47,788 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $43,311 CAD average.
• It shifts further toward recreation and lifestyle use.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter buy because it delivers the redesigned Colorado experience at a lower average price. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year perspective and a more lifestyle-oriented setup, the 2024 is worth a look.
