Used 2023 Cadillac XT5 for Sale near Manitoba

How much does the 2023 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 11.82% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 105 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Cadillac XT5 earns a 4.92/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the XT5 for its beautiful design, comfort, and spacious interior, and they also like its outstanding features and smooth driving experience. That lines up well with the XT5’s use case as a compact luxury SUV that aims to deliver a lot of premium feel without the fuss of some rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the XT5 is fairly pedestrian to drive, and it can feel less engaging than some competitors. The cabin also feels ageing, which may matter if you want a more modern luxury ambience.

Even so, if you want a well-equipped luxury crossover with strong value and a roomy cabin, this model year fits that brief well. With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still a decent amount of market flexibility for shoppers.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.92/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, trouble-free, and easy to count on for everyday use. The XT5’s smooth, comfortable character also supports that impression, especially if you plan to keep it for the long haul.

From an expert perspective, the XT5’s powertrain is described as a sensible, mainstream setup rather than something fragile or overly complicated. Cadillac also positions the XT5 as a straightforward luxury crossover, which can be reassuring if you prefer a familiar ownership experience.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is less about outright complexity and more about whether the vehicle’s age, trim, and option content have been maintained consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac XT5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is intuitively laid out, but it can feel dated, and the base version lacks some of the richer touches found higher up. Synthetic leather comes standard, while top trims add genuine leather, and heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel are reserved for upper trims.
• Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder makes 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the available V6 makes 310 hp and 271 lb-ft. The V6 is the better fit if you want stronger all-round performance, but neither engine turns the XT5 into an especially exciting SUV.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a vibrating safety alert seat, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic park assist, and other features are available on higher trims. Cadillac’s Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, dual-zone climate controls, and a rotary controller. Navigation, wireless charging, and a Bose premium audio system with 14 speakers are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four with FWD is rated at 10.9 L/100 km in the city, 8.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.7 L/100 km combined. The V6 with AWD is rated at 13.1/9.5/11.5 L/100 km city/highway/combined.

Which 2023 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the XT5’s core strengths — space, comfort, and value — without stretching the budget. It gives you the basic luxury experience, but you’ll want to check carefully for the options you care about because Cadillac holds back many desirable features for pricier packages.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds many desirable features while staying closer to the XT5’s value proposition than the top trim. If you want the most balanced mix of equipment and price, this is the one to target.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the most expensive, V6-equipped version and are willing to pay more for the top-end XT5 experience. It’s the trim to consider if you want the fullest feature set, but it also pushes the price up quickly.

The safety package is broad, but some advanced driver-assistance features remain tied to higher trims or option packages, so verify the exact equipment on any used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Cadillac XT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you should shop carefully and compare listings before moving quickly.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 105 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.82% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,978 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $37,978 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,070 CAD.

That price movement suggests the XT5 has softened enough to create a more buyer-friendly used market today. For a future seller, that means you may need to be realistic about pricing if you want to move the vehicle quickly.

The good news is that the XT5 still has appeal as a roomy, comfortable luxury SUV with broad market recognition. If demand stays steady for well-equipped premium crossovers, that should help support resale interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.92/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 missed a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and the last full crash-test results available were for the 2021 model. It earned top “Good” scores in all crash test areas, a “Marginal” score for its headlights, and an “Advanced” rating for vehicle-to-vehicle crash prevention.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a vibrating safety alert seat, and a rear-seat reminder. Higher trims can add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic park assist, and other features.

Cadillac’s Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking. One caveat to keep in mind is that IIHS testers also noted the car seat anchors were located near other hardware that could be confused for the anchor points.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.92/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers roomy luxury, strong value, and a broad mix of comfort-focused features.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,811 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,978 CAD average.
• It leans toward comfort and equipment, with minimal changes and a calm road manner.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better all-round pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the sensible alternative, especially if you value comfort and a spacious cabin over newer-market pricing.
