The Limited further adds a head-up display, rain-sensing wipers, and a digital rearview mirror.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder engine with three electric motors for 219 horsepower combined, plus standard all-wheel drive. The hybrid system is tuned for efficiency, with EV operation available for short distances and Normal, Eco, and Sport drive modes.

Which 2022 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value play if you want the Venza’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the hybrid powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, an 8-inch touchscreen, and wireless smartphone integration.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale cabin and a stronger tech experience without jumping all the way to the top grade. You get the 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated steering wheel, SofTex upholstery, JBL audio, navigation, pushbutton start, and keyless entry.
• Limited: Choose this if you want the most premium Venza experience. It adds the head-up display, rain-sensing wipers, digital rearview mirror, surround-view camera, and LED fog lamps, making it the most fully equipped version.

All trim levels include the standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite, plus blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,394 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $33,394 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,876 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The Venza’s efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand, especially among shoppers who want a premium-feeling hybrid SUV.

If the model continues to appeal to efficiency-minded buyers, resale should remain reasonably stable. Still, limited cargo space and a more polarizing design may narrow the pool of future shoppers compared with more conventional SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza safe?

The 2022 Toyota Venza received a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and earns five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is also standard on all trim levels.

XLE and Limited models add front and rear parking assist with automated braking, while the Limited also gets a surround-view camera, LED fog lamps, and a rear camera washer. That means the higher trims bring extra low-speed visibility and parking support on top of the standard driver-assistance suite.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard all-wheel drive with a fuel-efficient hybrid setup and standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,551 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $33,394 CAD average.
• It introduced the Venza’s upscale hybrid formula and standard all-wheel drive.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,144 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $33,394 CAD average.
• It sharpens the Venza’s luxury-leaning style and keeps the class-leading efficiency focus.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the sweet spot if you want the Venza’s hybrid efficiency, standard AWD, and strong safety at a softer price than newer examples. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 can make sense; if you want the freshest take and don’t mind paying more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
