The owner feedback highlights reliability, and it also describes the Crosstrek as dependable and trouble-free in everyday use. This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 221 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.26% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,578 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $25,380 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,665 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. The Crosstrek’s broad appeal as a practical, all-weather compact crossover should help support demand, even if pricing remains softer than it was a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,205 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $25,380 CAD average.
• It added useful updates and a broader trim mix.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of satisfaction, availability, and pricing. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value-focused path, especially if you find one in good condition with the features you want.
