Should I buy a 2022 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 24.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,441 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $24,958 CAD average.
• It adds more available equipment and a broader trim mix.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the newer year with strong owner satisfaction and a market that has softened. If your priority is stretching your budget, the 2021 is the better value play and still delivers the Crosstrek’s core strengths.
