Yes — the 2022 RAM 2500 earns a 4.81/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, comfortable ride, and excellent interior features, and many also value its towing capability and overall utility. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a heavy-duty pickup that can handle work duties while still feeling comfortable for everyday use. For long-term ownership, your main risk is paying close attention to condition and maintenance history, especially on higher-use trucks.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Inventory: There are 309 listings available.

What is the 2022 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $56,556 CAD sits slightly below last year's $64,489 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Strong demand for well-kept heavy-duty trucks can still support resale, especially when the truck has a good reputation with owners.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.81/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.81/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $69,189 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $56,556 CAD average.
• It adds a more off-road-focused, purpose-built Rebel and Power Wagon character.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the better value and a strong owner satisfaction record. If you are price-sensitive, the 2022 is the smarter path; if you want the newer-year premium and a more specialised off-road angle, consider the 2023 instead.
