Used 2022 Polestar 2 for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2022 Polestar 2 cost?

Prices have softened 6.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 34 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Polestar 2 a good car?

Generally — it earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating, which points to a well-regarded EV with clear strengths. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The expert review highlights a polished, high-tech cabin, strong styling, and impressive electric performance, especially in dual-motor form. It also notes that the car’s practicality and visibility are weaker points, so you should weigh the design and tech appeal against day-to-day usability.

23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Polestar 2 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The expert review points to a well-engineered EV with strong chassis composure, software-enabled improvements, and a powertrain that avoids the usual altitude-related power loss associated with combustion engines. It also notes complimentary service and maintenance for three years or 48,000 kilometres, which helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical complexity than about making sure the car has been maintained properly and that any software-related features, charging behaviour, and service history are in good shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Polestar 2?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2022 Polestar 2 adds a new Single Motor trim and also offers a Dual Motor version. The review says some features that were standard before became optional, so you should check whether the car has the packs and equipment you want rather than assuming every 2022 example is similarly equipped.
• Powertrain: The Single Motor model uses front-wheel drive with 231 hp and a longer estimated range, while the Dual Motor version uses all-wheel drive and delivers much stronger output. If you want the quickest version, the dual-motor setup is the one to focus on.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes collision avoidance and mitigation, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and post-impact braking. Blind-spot monitoring with steering support, cross-traffic alert, rear-collision warning and mitigation, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and the surround-view camera are part of the Pilot Pack, so check whether a used example has that package.
• Infotainment: The car uses a fully embedded Google-based system with Google Assistant built in, Google Play Store app access, and regular over-the-air updates. It also has four USB-C outlets.
• Range & charging: The Single Motor model is estimated at 427 kilometres of range, while the Dual Motor model is estimated at 400 kilometres. The battery pack has 75 kWh of usable capacity, and DC fast charging can take about 33 minutes from 10% to 80%.
• Battery health: As with any used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, confirm how the car has been charged over time, and review the remaining battery warranty coverage. A car that has spent most of its life on home charging is often easier to live with than one that has relied heavily on DC fast charging.

Which 2022 Polestar 2 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Polestar 2 is offered in 2 trim levels: Single Motor and Dual Motor.

Here's the short version:

• Single Motor: This is the better-value choice if you want the lower entry price and longer estimated range. It gives you the Polestar 2’s core tech and design appeal without paying for the extra performance of the dual-motor setup.
• Dual Motor: Choose this if you want the stronger performance and all-wheel drive. It is the more powerful version and suits you best if acceleration and all-weather traction matter more than price.

The safety package is incomplete on its own, so if features like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and the surround-view camera matter to you, look for a car equipped with the Pilot Pack.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Polestar 2?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you should be able to shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 34 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,107 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Polestar 2's resale value?

The current average of $29,319 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,252 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the car is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean. If you buy now, you may benefit from that lower entry point, but you should still think about how trim, condition, and equipment will affect your eventual resale position.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Polestar 2 safe?

The 2022 Polestar 2 has not been crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes collision avoidance and mitigation, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and post-impact braking. If you want more advanced driver assistance, you’ll need the Pilot Pack for features such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitoring with steering support, cross-traffic alert, rear-collision warning and mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and the surround-view camera.

A key caveat is that some of the most desirable safety features are not standard, so you should verify package content carefully on any used example.

Should I buy a 2022 Polestar 2 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its strong technology score and the addition of the new Single Motor trim.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of lower pricing, strong tech, and a broader trim choice, the 2022 is the sensible pick. If you’re especially price-sensitive, focus on the lower end of the market and look for a well-equipped example with the safety and convenience packages you want.
