Used 2024 Polestar 2 for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2024 Polestar 2 cost?

Prices have softened 22.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 227 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Polestar 2 a good car?

The 2024 Polestar 2 earns an 6.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It suits you best if you want a stylish EV with a distinctive design, strong driving character, and impressive electric range. The 2024 updates help keep it feeling fresh, with a range boost, revised styling, and powertrain changes.

The main trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard, the ergonomics are criticised, and value for money is a weakness.

With 7.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Polestar 2 reliable?

The 2024 Polestar 2 is positioned as a modern EV with a straightforward lineup and a long battery warranty, which should help reassure you if you plan to keep it for the long haul.

Its single-motor version gets a larger battery for 2024, and Polestar backs the battery with an eight-year, 160,000-kilometre warranty that guarantees at least 70% of original capacity during the warranty period. The expert review also notes that the car remains pleasant and composed in daily driving, with minimal wind and tyre noise at highway speeds.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is making sure the battery and charging history are healthy, especially if the car has seen frequent fast charging or has lived in colder conditions without the optional heat pump.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Polestar 2?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin has a premium feel, but the materials themselves are not especially rich, and there is lots of plastic, including glare-inducing piano-black trim on the centre console. Standard cloth seats are vegan, while Nappa leather upholstery is also available.
• Powertrain: Single-motor models switch to rear-wheel drive for 2024, with 299 horsepower and 362 pound-feet of torque. Dual-motor models add all-wheel drive and make 421 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque, while the Performance Pack raises output to 455 horsepower.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist features include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. For 2024, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, park assist, and a 360-degree camera system are now standard as well. The optional Pilot Pack adds adaptive cruise control and Pilot Assist highway-driving support.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.2-inch touchscreen, Google Built-in apps, Google Maps navigation, Google Assistant voice control, the Google Play app store, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
• Range & charging: Single-motor models are rated at up to 515 kilometres with the standard 19-inch wheels, while dual-motor versions are rated at 444 kilometres with 19-inch wheels. The single-motor model can DC fast charge at up to 205 kilowatts and reach 10% to 80% in 28 minutes, while the dual-motor version is rated at 155 kW and 34 minutes. The usable battery capacity is 82 kWh on single-motor models and 78 kWh on dual-motor models.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, ask how often the car has been DC fast charged versus charged at home, and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains. For a used EV, those details matter more than odometer reading alone.

Which 2024 Polestar 2 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Polestar 2 is offered in 2 trim levels: Long Range Single Motor and Long Range Dual Motor.

Here's the short version:

• Long Range Single Motor: This is the best-value choice if you want the longest range, rear-wheel drive, and the lower starting price. It delivers the strongest efficiency story in the lineup and still feels lively enough for everyday driving.
• Long Range Dual Motor: Choose this if you want all-wheel drive and stronger acceleration. It adds more performance, but it costs more and gives up some range compared with the single-motor model.

The Pilot Pack is the key safety-package add-on, and it is standard on AWD models.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Polestar 2?

The market looks moderately favourable if you are a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 7.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 227 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.15% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,820 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Polestar 2's resale value?

The current average of $36,763 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,222 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in buyers' favour, which can make the car easier to shop for now. If you buy at today's average, you may be starting from a more realistic price point than a year ago. For a future seller, though, the softer trend means you should expect resale values to remain sensitive to mileage, trim, and equipment.

Is the 2024 Polestar 2 safe?

The 2024 Polestar 2 earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in each individual NHTSA crash-test category as well.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, park assist, and a 360-degree camera system. The optional Pilot Pack adds adaptive cruise control and Pilot Assist highway-driving support, which can keep the vehicle centred in its lane while maintaining speed and following distance.

One caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard on every version, so you should confirm the equipment list on any used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2024 Polestar 2 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 7.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.15% compared with last year.
• The 2024 model-year updates, including the range boost, revised styling, and powertrain changes, matter to you.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the Polestar 2, the 2024 model is the one to target because it brings meaningful updates and a stronger range story. If you are more price-sensitive, a lower-priced used example from this year can still make sense, especially if you find one near the bottom of the year-round range.
