Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Polestar 2?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, especially if you are selective about condition, mileage, and pricing.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 106 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,819 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Polestar 2's resale value?

The current average of $29,819 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,970 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has lost some short-term value, which can be good news if you are buying now. For a future seller, it means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the car is especially well equipped or lightly used. If market conditions remain soft, you may need to price competitively to attract attention.

Should I buy a 2023 Polestar 2 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.73% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,319 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,819 CAD average.
• It offers the brand’s early luxury-EV positioning with Polestar’s Volvo-backed foundation.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,418 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,819 CAD average.
• It adds range, styling, and powertrain updates for a fresher package.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the sensible middle ground if you want the current-year price without stepping up to the pricier 2024. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play, while the 2024 makes sense if you want the newer updates and can justify the higher cost.
