Used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander for Sale nearOakville, ON

How much does the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 12.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 187 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used examples.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

Yes — 4.6/5 is a strong user rating for the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander, and the expert rating is 7.67/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise the smooth drive, advanced features, and stylish look. That lines up with the Outlander’s appeal as a fresh, modern SUV that feels more competitive than Mitsubishi’s recent efforts. It is especially relevant if you want a polished compact SUV with a premium-feeling cabin and up-to-date tech.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the third row is tight and cargo space shrinks when all seats are in use. Even so, the combination of style, features, and a more refined overall presentation makes it a compelling choice for buyers who can live with those packaging compromises.

Good and great deals account for 28.9% of listings, so there is still some room to find a well-priced example.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a smooth, dependable-feeling SUV with advanced features that owners appreciate over time. The expert review also highlights Mitsubishi’s 10-year/160,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, five-year/100,000-kilometre standard warranty, and five years of free roadside assistance, which all help reduce ownership anxiety.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is not outright durability so much as whether you will be satisfied with the Outlander’s driving dynamics and packaging compromises after living with it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower grades get 18-inch alloy wheels, while the higher trims move to 20-inch wheels and add more upscale equipment. At the top end, GT Premium brings premium semi-aniline leather, a head-up display, and a premium sound system, so you should decide whether those comfort and luxury upgrades matter enough to justify the jump.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with a CVT and standard S-AWC all-wheel drive. The setup is tuned more for everyday use than excitement, and the review notes that it feels strongest in lower-speed urban and suburban driving.
• Safety package: The Outlander includes forward collision mitigation, safe reversing, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also uses a hands-on Level 2 driver-assist system that works with commendable refinement, smoothness, and accuracy.
• Infotainment: The 9-inch touchscreen is standard on LE and up, and it includes Bluetooth and wireless Apple CarPlay, while Android Auto requires a wire. Wireless smartphone charging is standard above the base model, and GT Premium adds a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Outlander returned 9.4 L/100 km on the test route, compared with an official combined rating of 8.9 L/100 km for AWD models.

Which 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 7 trim levels: ES, SE, LE, LE Premium, SEL, GT, and GT Premium.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point, but the lower trims miss some of the richer tech and upscale touches that make the Outlander feel special. If you are shopping on a tighter budget, it gets you into the redesigned model, but you may want to move up if you value the stronger feature set.
• SE: This trim is a sensible step up if you want a better balance of equipment without chasing the top-end luxury features. It should suit you if you want a more complete daily driver without paying for the most expensive versions.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 9-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and wireless Apple CarPlay, plus wireless smartphone charging above the base model. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to focus on.
• LE Premium: Choose this if you want more comfort and convenience than LE without going all the way to the luxury-oriented trims. It makes sense if you want a more polished ownership experience and are willing to pay for it.
• SEL: This trim is for you if you want a more upscale feel and are looking to move closer to the premium end of the range. It is a good fit if you care about cabin ambience and extra equipment.
• GT: This is the trim to consider if you want the stronger technology story, including the 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display. It is a good choice if you value a more modern cockpit and richer feature content.
• GT Premium: This is the most luxurious version, with premium semi-aniline leather, a head-up display, and a premium sound system. It suits you best if you want the most upscale Outlander experience and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but the review notes that headlights on units built before July 2021 receive a Poor rating.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find decent value.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 187 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,898 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $25,898 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,548 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Outlander has become more affordable for used buyers, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean. The current market also shows that shoppers are still comparing value carefully, so condition, trim, and equipment will matter a lot when you go to resell.

Because the model has softened in price, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on how well your specific vehicle stands out against similar listings. Higher trims with desirable equipment may hold buyer interest better than a basic example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2022 Outlander earns an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings on frontal crash and rollover performance.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Outlander includes forward collision mitigation, safe reversing, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also has a hands-on Level 2 driver-assist system that works with commendable refinement, smoothness, and accuracy.

One caveat is that headlights on units built before July 2021 receive a Poor rating, so you should pay close attention to build date and equipment when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is the redesigned, all-new Outlander, which gives you the more competitive modern version of the SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Outlander and value its stronger tech, better styling, and improved competitiveness, the 2022 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully within this year because the market has softened and there is enough inventory to compare several examples before you buy.
