Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class cost?

Prices have softened 9.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 161 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It stands out as a more upscale take on the compact luxury sedan formula, with S-Class-inspired design cues, a stylish cabin, and strong technology content. It is aimed at you if you want a relatively attainable way into the Mercedes-Benz brand without giving up a premium feel.

The main trade-offs are an irritating transmission and sluggish performance, so it is better suited to you if comfort, design, and tech matter more than sharp acceleration. Even so, 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The C-Class is positioned as a refined luxury sedan, and its standard equipment and safety content support that impression. Its powertrain is paired with a mild-hybrid system, which helps modernise the driving experience, and the car’s ride quality and technology focus suggest a well-rounded ownership experience.

Mercedes also backs the C-Class with a four-year, 80,000-kilometre basic warranty that includes the powertrain. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a complex luxury sedan can be more expensive to keep in top shape if previous maintenance has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The C-Class is positioned as a luxury sedan with standard LED headlights and taillights, a freestanding touchscreen, and a cabin that tries to mimic the S-Class. Base examples use MBTex synthetic leather upholstery, so you should check whether the features you want are included or require options.
• Powertrain: The C300 uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The setup adds short bursts of electric assist, but the test drive notes mention turbo lag and some rough shifts.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency brake assist, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, park assist, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound. Optional upgrades include lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, a 360-degree camera system, dash cam, and two levels of Distronic adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: Even a no-option C300 gets a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the MBUX system adds a Zero Layer layout plus strong voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the C300 at 9.9 L/100 km in city driving, 7.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 8.6 L/100 km combined. In testing, it averaged 9.4 L/100 km.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is offered in 1 trim level: C300 4Matic.

Here's the short version:

The C300 4Matic is the trim to focus on because it brings the core C-Class experience: the upscale design, standard all-wheel drive in Canada, strong infotainment, and a long list of standard safety features. It is the best fit if you want the full C-Class formula without needing to chase a higher-performance variant.

Mercedes also offers a broad set of optional packages, so you should pay close attention to equipment on each used example. The standard safety package is already strong, but available driver-assistance upgrades can make a meaningful difference if you want more convenience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 161 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,531 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $42,649 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,161 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favourable if you are planning to sell soon. A softer used-price environment usually means future sellers may need to price more competitively to attract attention.

Even so, the C-Class still has the kind of premium branding and feature content that can help it hold interest among shoppers looking for a luxury sedan. If demand stays steady, that should support resale value better than a less distinctive mainstream model.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 model year brings the redesigned, more upmarket C-Class with S-Class-inspired styling and standard 4Matic all-wheel drive in Canada.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned C-Class with its upscale look, strong tech, and standard AWD, the 2022 is the right target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and shop whichever one gives you the best combination of equipment, condition, and asking price.
