Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class cost?

Prices have softened 8.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 158 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating, which lines up with its upscale design and strong technology focus. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It stands out as a relatively attainable way into the Mercedes-Benz brand, with S-Class-inspired styling and a cabin that aims to feel more premium than its entry-level positioning might suggest. In Canada, standard 4Matic all-wheel drive also broadens its appeal if you want year-round traction in a compact luxury sedan.

The trade-offs are worth noting: the transmission is irritating, and performance is described as sluggish. Even so, the combination of stylish design, great ride quality, and impressive technology makes it a compelling choice if you value comfort and presentation over outright pace.

33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which points to a market with some room for selective shopping.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 C-Class is positioned as a refined luxury sedan with a strong emphasis on technology and safety, and its expert assessment supports that impression. The powertrain is described as sufficiently powerful, and the ride quality is praised as being up to luxury-car standards, which matters if you want a car that feels composed over time.

Mercedes also backs it with a four-year, 80,000-kilometre basic warranty that includes the powertrain. That helps reduce early ownership risk, though used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and how the transmission behaves on a test drive.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Standard LED headlights and taillights are included, and the cabin already gets a freestanding touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and synthetic leather upholstery. Higher-spec examples can add Mercedes Digital Light, Burmester audio, ambient lighting, and Nappa leather, so base cars may feel less lavish than better-equipped ones.
• Powertrain: The C300 uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and a nine-speed automatic. It can feel delayed off the line, and the transmission can deliver rough shifts, so you should test for smoothness in everyday driving.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency brake assist, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, park assist, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound. Optional upgrades include lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, a 360-degree camera system, dash cam, and two levels of Distronic adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: Even a no-option car gets a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 11.9-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Available upgrades include a head-up display, in-car Wi-Fi hotspot, augmented-reality navigation, and Burmester 3D surround sound.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the C300 at 9.9 L/100 km in city driving, 7.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 8.6 L/100 km combined. In testing, it averaged 9.4 L/100 km.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is offered in 1 trim level: C300 4Matic.

Here's the short version:

The C300 4Matic is the trim to focus on because it already brings the core C-Class experience: standard all-wheel drive in Canada, a strong technology package, and a cabin that feels properly premium. It also includes a decent amount of standard equipment, so you do not need to stretch far up the options list to get a well-equipped example.

If you want the best value, look for a C300 4Matic with the right mix of comfort and safety options rather than chasing every available package. The standard safety suite is already strong, and the available upgrades mainly add convenience and luxury rather than changing the car’s character.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 158 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,587 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $43,188 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,024 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. A softer used market can mean more competition from similar listings, so future sellers may need to price carefully to stand out.

At the same time, the C-Class still has the kind of premium branding, design appeal, and technology content that tends to support demand. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it properly, that should help preserve its appeal when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class safe?

The 2022 C-Class earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency brake assist, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, park assist, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound. Optional features include lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, a 360-degree camera system, dash cam, and two levels of Distronic adaptive cruise control.

One thing to keep in mind is that the basic version of Distronic includes stop-and-go capability that can resume after stopping for up to three seconds, while Active Distance Assist Distronic extends that to 30 seconds. Even so, both versions fall short of the hands-free Super Cruise system available in the Cadillac CT4.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned model moves the C-Class upmarket with S-Class-inspired styling, standard 4Matic all-wheel drive in Canada, and a strong technology focus.

The bottom line: If you want the most upmarket version of the C-Class nameplate in this generation, the 2022 is the one to target because it delivers the redesign, the standard AWD setup for Canada, and the strongest blend of style and technology. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2022 remains the better pick if you want the newest design and the most polished overall package.
